Question About Twitter Traffic To AdSense Sites

I see a lot of Tweets on Twitter with links to pages that are obvious AdSense sites. My questions are: Can this be a profitable method for getting clicks? Is it in any way against AdSense TOS to have a large percentage of clicks coming from Twitter traffic?

    Adsense banned my account for using twitter traffic.
    It was going to a proteinshake website
    It was the only traffic I was sending
    I bought a wso where the provider sold twitter traffic $35 a week or $140/month
    Costly mistake.
    You might get away with it a little while just not worth the risk.

    If you have a lot of search traffic to balance it out then its ok.

    Just have to be aware of the numbers. It helps if you have an old account too.
