How To Build One Website And Make A Full Time Living ?

Seems like it would have to be an established brand name site to make a good living with a single site. I think it's best not to put all your efforts into a single site because if you do something wrong with it that google doesn't like then you're screwed.

Sites which supply a very good service do very well! All you need it to find a need, and fill it!

Socialadr is a good example, warriorforum is a good example!

Basically, go one step above a micro niche site and incorporate many micro niches as categories of the larger site

Do a site on either Laptop Computers or even higher up (computers)

Just remember the higher you go, the harder it is to hit the first page and get that google traffic.

I'm using Dell Latitude D610 Laptop right now

dell-latitude610.com is an example of a possible micro niche site (that domain is available but you might have problems with Dell, but maybe not!).

dell-latitude610 review.com is another safer possibility (less chance of Dell telling you to take it down, but it gets no searches (old computer)). These domains MIGHT not be too hard to rank for and make you $3-$4 dollars a day (but I don't know that).

delllaptopreviews.net (also available) is a broader website where you could put up reviews on MANY different Dell laptops. Each page (example: delllaptopreviews.net/dell-latitude610) will probably be much harder to get on the front page of google, but it is doable. If you know what you're doing you could make the elusive $100 a day with a domain like this, but you won't do it in 2 weeks.

You're next broader site could be laptopcomputer-reviews.com (this is available) where you could have HUNDREDS of pages of reviews of laptop computers of all kinds. While laptop computer reviews" only gets 10k searches, "laptop reviews" gets 246k searches. Still, with this domain you could work to rank HUNDREDS of individual pages like laptopcomputer-reviews.com/dell-latitude610 and have the potential of making many hundreds of dollars a day.

This is an excellent example of finding a broader topic as a website. All you have to do is to figure out if you have any chance of reaching the top of google with several different posts and this could be a potential winner.

You would need a very viral idea or a lot of marketing for this to work... Unless you really know what you are doing or have the money for consultants, it will be very difficult to start such a website.

It is possible. I do it and many others do also. But it is still a minority of people.

If it were easy then it wouldn't be so profitable because everyone would be able to do it.

In a nutshell: Find or create a demand that has sufficient volume where people are willing to pay for the solution. Offer it to them with good service and expand from there.

Approximately 50% is initial research. 20% is a good product. The remaining 30% is continuous marketing and good service to customers.

Strongly agree with your point. If making a living from one site was easy, then online business wouldn't be much profitable.

  You can make a broad site in one niche, then you create pages optimized for a cluster of keywords and rank separate pages for differend kw's.
  
  Take a look at How to Get Rid of Things the domain says "get rid of" and the site owner has a lot of pages that are optimized for keywords like "get rid of acne fast" "get rid of stupidity fast" or whatever. This is not my site, but perfect example. So, domain with "get rid of" supports every keyword that has "get rid of" in front while trying to rank. This way you rank for plenty of keywords and get massive traffic to one site.
