    Hey Jame

The SE bots should come crawling all by themselves as far as I understand, but if you've pinged it it should speed up the process.

I've used this tool to get a site indexed in google within 4-5 hours. I don't know how much it helps with getting indexed in yahoo, bing and so on, bit I imagine it's quite effective for that as well.

If you use wordpress, there's a plugin called "cbnet ping optimizer" that can ping your blog automatically when updated.

You will need to manually enter the services you wish to ping, but you can find a good list of them here: cbnet Ping Optimizer List | FREE SEO PLUGIN

    Hope this helps

      Hi TroelsJepsen,

You don't need a plugin for Wordpress, automatic pinging is built into the basic Wordpress script. Wordpress also has features to manage your pinging services built in, no plugin necessary, nothing you need to do to set it up it comes out of the box already configured to automatically ping all your posts.

The fact is that most blogging platforms already have built in pinging services that automatically ping your new posts, even if you are unaware of it.
