I can't see why people are getting caught up with Keyword Research? So, let's create a discussion on what make uber-effective Keyword Research, so we can all learn and create a really concise and powerful strategy that we can use.

I'll kick it off. All good Keyword Research appeals to three key fundamentals;

- Is the keyword term you aim to rank for going to be PROFITABLE?

- How much work will you need to actually get in the sweet spot?

- How did your competitors get there (short cut alert)

What would you add?

    I just completed Chad's Black Hat course and really learned a ton! However, finding the niche keywords that meet his criteria has been a challenge. To find a big MaMa keyword that has millions of keyword match competition is easy, and to find traffic in the hundreds of thousand is also easy. However, to find two "baby" keywords that have the MaMa keyword in it, and with less than 500,000 competing sites each and yet have a combined 60 thousand keyword searches has proven to be impossible for me. I spent the whole day trying. Any thoughts on how to automate this process, or how to develop a process to identify these characteristics?

    If you want to work less and make more money you must make sure that the keyword you are going after has the following characteristics:

    1. A nice search volume
    2. Commercial intent
    3. Stable or rising trend
    4. Weak competition

    If your keyword has all 4 of them, you've struck gold.
