I think that press releases should be done at the beginning of a campaign to help get some quality backlinks and indexed faster?

Lets say i didnt do this when i started my website. Would it still be worthy doing even though my site is now indexed?

When i start a press release campaign do i just point all the backlinks back to my homepage?

Man i dont undarstend all these questions you are poping out...!?

    Have you done any research?

It is good to know something about it before you start doing it. There are many sources you can find answers and this forum is one of those. Just do some "search" and do some reading

Yeah i have done research. Maybe i am looking at the wrong places for answers. I even watched a press release video which was included in a course i purchased and it doesnt say specifically where to direct the links.

Also i seem to find lots of contradictory info. Maybe my search methods are poor. Sorry if i have annoyed you with my questions.

It all depends on what you're trying to do. If you are using press releases for back links, then put a link to whatever page you are trying to rank for.

If you are introducing a new service or something, then link to the sales page.

Tell us what you're trying to accomplish and I can give you a better answer.

thanks for the reply and offer of help.

I just want to do this and everything else the correct way. I dont want any bad habits. I ask this question because i am unsure if i do a press release campaign for each and every product url on my site.

For example would it be best if i do say 10 press releases per product? Or is it fine to do maybe 20-30 in total for the whole site and not concentrate on promoting each and every product url so much.

Sorry in advance if this doesnt make any sense.

It depends. I use i-newswire and PRlog to shoot press releases with links at the beginning of a campaign and again at the end of a target period.

A lot of these PR sites are set as news sites and show up in Google news, obviously that's always a plus.

Backlink any page you want. Include your anchor text if you can.

It's advised to diversify the anchor texts pointing from the press releases... To achieve best press release syndication result, spin your press release into various unique versions and submit them to press release directories...

Yes it would still be worthy, I do them occasionally even if in the number one spot. if you write a top notch press release that gets attention, not only do you get links from the press release sites, but also get links from other relevant websites because of syndication. It could even be featured on a local/international news site, if your website has great content on it.

Do you think it would be a good idea to do a spun press release for each and every product url on my site? That way all of my pages would gain some backlinks! Or is this spammy?

I wouldn't do that myself, people will notice that the quality of the PR is low and may delete it or not syndicate it.

You said you wouldnt do a press release campaign for each and every product url.

What would be your tactics then? Maybe have 2 links in each release. 1 always pointing to the homepage and then 1 linking to a product? And vary which product is promoted via spinning?

Also if i am to implement my anchor text with my keywords then it wont be totally contextual which is bad isnt it? It could be deleted and not syndicated!

I think focusing on quality rather than quantity for your press releases would benefit you most in the long run. It would increase syndication and positive attention if you work to produce quality, informative, press releases rather than spin many for each product.

I've had clients publish press releases immediately before and/or after new product launches. However, I've personally released press releases for backlinks and traffic well after a website launch and still got good results.

You might want to experiment with different methods until you find something that helps you achieve your goals since what works for one person might not always work for you.

    Hello,

Press release is generally a kind of communication which can be written or recorded from the news media to declare something related to the news, vital for all.It helps to attract the media attention.
There is no specific time to do the press release>you have to keep your self update from all the news that you wanted to submit in the form of quality content. In this way it can generate more back links as well as the number of likes from the user to have more traffic toward your website.
