Big-Dog.com versus MyBigDog.com

Say that BigDog.com is taken. (Example only.) I bought MyBigDog.com over a year ago but the domain has just been parked, no content. Now, Big-Dog.com is available. Ready to add a new site, should I just develop MyBigDog.com or buy Big-Dog.com and develop it? For SEO only (no offline sales).

Reason I ask is because Big-Dog.com is an exact match except for the hyphen.

EDIT: I mistyped... I should have said that Big-Dog.net is available... that is .NET. Either way, I'd be interested in reading your answers.

I would go for Big-Dog.com. Only because I've been experiencing good things with hyphens myself.
Though, if your domains would actually be Big-Dog.com and BigDog.com was taken.. I'd check for Dogbig.com.
It depends a bit which part is more important for you 'big' or 'dog'.

I would definitely go with the MyBigDog.com domain. The reason why is that it has already aged a year, so it will be more stable in the SERPs as compared to a newer site. Also, your targeted keywords are already in that domain.

I would go for bigDog since it is older. Google trusts domains that have been around for a while. A year is a long time for a domain name.
