If you are a newbie and planning to purchase SEO services from anyone in this forum or on internet, please read my thread carefully.

Many SEO people here claim that they will build back links for you by writing articles and posting it to directories. Before you attempt to buy anyone's services, make sure you understand how SEO works. Unfortunately, I paid a lot of money to these people in the past but the links I built myself worked better than theirs. Why?

First of all, these people do build the links for you and submit them to various articles. They will give you a detailed report and you can check the links manually. No problem here since they seemed to fulfill their duty. In reality, Google never indexes their links because the directories they submitted to are basically worthless. This is the most important point you need to know if you are planning to purchase such service. The guy builds 500 links for you but none of them are visible in Google's eyes. The guy writes 500 words article for you, but it's somehow worthless for Google! Please do not fall into this trap and loose money! If you are frequently reading this forum, you'll see that people talk about the importance of high PR links because those are the ones that counts!

Before you jump into article submissions, go for blog commenting. Simply try to locate blogs that are relevant to your content and post comments by providing your url. If your website is related to cellphones, and you post a comment by typing your name as "Cellphone", you'll be surprised by amazing results. Simply, signup with Google Webmaster tools and a back link reporting tool such as majesticseo.com or dirgio.com to check whether the links are indexed or not. You'll see that the name you used for your url will be considered as anchor text or keyword by Google. This is a very simple link building example for you and you should definitely do it. And whether these blogs have "dofollow" or not does not matter because you'll see some results for sure.

Once you've seen some results then go for article submission and please make sure that the directories you submit have a good PR value. There are various tools to check PR rankings so use those. If any point you believe you should hire someone to do this job, then provide them with your list of directories and ask them to submit the articles to those directories. NEVER count on their directories!!!!!!! If they are so sure of themselves, then ask which directories they use and check the PR of their directories.

Recently, I purchased 2500 back links from someone in this forum, and guess what....Google sees only 5 of them! Of course, if you ever ask them what's going on, they will tell you that it takes 2-3 weeks for Google to index it. My newbie friend, here is what you should know: THAT IS A FAT ASS LIE! Don't fall into this trap!

SEO reminds of my freshman year in college. I bought my first books on school store, but then never bought anything from that store again.

Good luck to all!
