Oh no, the dreaded AdSense Slap
- SEO |
Last month I picked up a product from Clickbank called Profit Jackpot from Anik Singal. It uses an AdSense Plugin to help generate income. Not the main thrust, just a little something to get the ball rolling.
Five weeks in I went to check my AdSense account and was pleasantly surprised to find a balance of $2.28. I was expecting much money, if any, so that was nice. Gonna go get a McDouble and a small fry with my windfall!
The next day my AdSense account was disabled, the account I've had for over a year and only started using last month.
It seems Google only needed 1500 visitors, combined from 27 brand new websites, and five weeks of data to determine that my my sites pose "a risk of generating invalid activity." Whatever that means.
Maybe it means my sites are so incredibly awesome that people the world over are going to start rushing in to click AdSense ads. Maybe it means those 1,500 people all know each other and are all part of a master plan to cheat Google out of thousands of cents by frivolously clicking on ads.
They must have some cutting edge software that let's them seek out and visit brand new sites that haven't been indexed yet so they can be the first ones to click the new ads.
But it probably means they don't like that some of the sites were about Network Marketing, not enough AdSense to show cause they're prejudiced against it. Just my opinion, don't want Google suing me.
Just one more sign that AdSense is on it's way out the door. And a really good reason to diversify.
