Same registrar, registrant, host

On one of my projects, I have a couple of dozen sites that I use to feed links to one another here and there. Sort of like a link wheel concept. It's worked well. But I have seen mention that you should register your domains under different registrant names, with their differing contact info. And use different hosts. Theory being that Google will sniff you out as feeding your own sites with links.

Do you think this is a real concern? All I can say is that it has worked well for me. I have several hosts, yes, but I do have a couple of hosts where I have several of these sites, and they do not have dedicated IP's each. Yet, it has seemed to work. Same for the registrations, I have several registrars, but same thing, before I started diversifying, I have quite a few domains at Godaddy and quite a few at Ipower.

Should I change the way I have my sites and if so, how? Such as, transfer some of the sites that are hanging off the same host with other sites and put them on another, separate host. Or will it affect what I have accomplished... should I just leave them alone? (I have quite a few domains already bought, yet they are just parked, and I could develop these.)

If these concerns are real, how do you get registrations / hosting accounts into other people's names? Just recruit friends/family to do this? (Get them to do it, I pay the costs.) Is there a more practical way?
