Wordpress concerns

I have this site -- eaglefordshaleblog.net | Eagle Ford Shale Blog. Notice how it says "Uncategorized" for each of my posts. I don't really know the difference between this and something else. Should I make it "categorized?"

Second, I am a one man show, I do it all. I haven't hired anyone to make comments on there. Should I?

Third, I get spam comments often. I have 1,300 of them awaiting approval. (I just always ignore them.) Can I just delete all of these with one click somewhere in WP? I doubt I will get many/any "real" comments on this blog. I built it only to be part of my "link wheel" type network. But should I hire people to comment and make links?

Thanks for help on any of these questions.

    To change the uncategorized, when making the post just choose a category and it will go away.

    For spam comments install askimet, and it will filter the comments as spam, then you can just empty spam comments with one button.
