SEO Pressor 100% Score Question

No that's not OK and is considered sneaky by the search engines.

Back in the day before advanced algo's, the more keywords on the page the better, so people keyword stuff the whole site and then change the text to match the background color.

Don't worry about getting a 100% on SEO Pressor and focus the time getting better links to your site.

You do not need that level of keyword density at all. You will probably find you are getting stuck around the 97% mark because you don't have enough content. Aim for 700+ words and you will have your 100% if you tick the rest of the boxes.

makes sure to include internal links to yoru other pages using your keyword and include nofollow links to high PR sites.

Here's how to acheive 100% using the previous version 4.0.2 of SEOPressor:

keyword in title of Post/Page
keyword in first sentence of Post/Page
keyword in an H1 tag
keyword in an H2 tag
keyword in an H3 tag
keyword in name of one image (ie. keyword.jpg)
- Use LSI words similarly for any additional images
keyword in alt attribute of one image
- Use LSI words similarly for any additional images
keyword bolded (requires > 2 KW occurences)
keyword in italics (requires > 3 KW occurences)
keyword underlined (requires > 4 KW occurences)
keyword as anchor text in link to an authority site (a relevant wikipedia page is best)
add rel="nofollow" to all offpage links
keyword as anchor text for link to internal pages
- add a title attribute containing the keyword of the target page to the <A> tag
add backlink to internal pages using an image
- add a title attribute containing the keyword of the target page to the <A> tag
include enough words in post (692 looks like the magic number)
keyword in last sentence of Post/Page
keyword density 2%-3% (seems to be a small penalty between 3%-4%)

SEOPressor V4 (version 4.3.05) offers several changes, a different keyword density calculation method being prime among them. This will have a major effect on the Score of an existing page (they all dropped to 94.44%

) and requires that you add at least 2 or 3 more instances of your keyword. However... there is also at least one 'secret' change. The tips listed above (although guaranteed to work under the version 4.0.2) will not be sufficient to reach a 100% score with the latest version 4.3.05. Alas, I have yet to discover that secret and the best I can achieve is 97.78%.

It is well to remember that it is more important to make the Google gods happy than it is to please SEOPressor. We chase the SEOPressor scores in hopes that the two correlate, but who really knows?

Wow, finally it's ALL spelled out but, I'm a newbie and need to find the instructions on how to do all of the steps you talk about. Do you know of a publication that would teach me how to do these things?

I bought SEO Presser & can't get passed 82%. One great thing is after 24 hours The site was # 15 on Google.

Pretty much the point I made earlier. Truth is nobody really needs SEOPressor... what they need is good advice on how to feed Google what Google wants. Of course, we all can agree that good on-page SEO has many, many requirements. You read the list I provided. It is likely not complete (in Google's eyes) but it is long enough that some form of auto-checklist is quite beneficial. It is the list that a prior version of SEOPressor automatically checks for, but Google does not stand still. Clearly, the newer version has an updated checklist. And still, it is quite possible that someone may have a bead on another factor not listed there. If so, by all means, use it to advance your pages (and be sure to share with the rest of us Warriors

).

P.S. Oh yeah, I think I also mentioned that SEOPressor seems to apply a small penalty above 3%. It appears to target the 2% mark and that has worked well enough for me. And the issue of backlinking is an entirely different topic of discussion.

How come with SEOPressor, it only occasionally bolds the targetted keyword?

Even if you have plenty of instances of the keyword on page, it still only bolds the keyword sometimes, but it always seems to underline and italicize the keyword.

Well I am also using SEOpressor for On-Page. I Have reached 94% but no doubt It works really good. It gives many pieces of advices to solve On-page mistakes which we make but don't know exactly about that.

Many, many people complained about SEOpressor slowing their sites down. The problem was supposed to be fixed in the latest version, but I can't say for sure.

I wouldn't worry so much about trying to get to 100% As long as everything is checked off and your KW density is between 1% - 3% you are golden. By writing content for readers in natural grammar you will achieve better results than trying to stuff keywords.

Also NEVER try to manipulate your page by cloaking text or links you will get your site deindexed by google.

I usually aim for 2% on a 500 word article. I don;t use SEOpressor though. I prefer Easy WP SEO which provides a few more options but both do the same thing.

3% is a LOT. My articles already look "odd" at 2%.

And yes, when i had Seopressor running it LITERALLY killed my sites...it slowed sites down..now imagine having this on a server on several sites at the same time. I lost money because it made my sites literally not responsive. Only by coincidence i found that it was this plugin so immediately removed it from several of my sites.

He might have fixed this in the meantime, but there are several clones/alternatives already who do the same thing.

As for overall benefit of those plugins, whether they are Seopressor (FIXED, hopefully!!), or Clickbump SEO! plugin or the 900 other copies we have now....yes i THINK they are good because they give a quick overview whether all on-site factors are "all right"...and i am seeing good results with rankings since they simply help to get on-site stuff right.

Avoid hiding text at all costs. This is against Google's T&C's.
I use SEO Pressor and often only score 96%. I would rather lose out on the 4% than spam my visitors. Occasionally I can get my score up to 100%, but normally it's around the high 90's which I am pretty happy with.

Considering some of my pages were sitting at 50% before I optimized them, I'll take 96% any day of the week

SEO Pressor is good but parts of it seem a little silly. For example, it gives you a better score if you have your keyword bolded at least once, italicized at least once, and underlined at least once. I find it hard to believe that this will give your post a better Google ranking than simply bolding your keyword each time.

if youre using SEO pressor and just find that you need to add many keywords to increase the density - then best tip is to add a bit more content - they ususally say you need on 300+ words but if this is not working to hit a naturally looking text then add more bump it up to 500+ or even 700+ keep the quality of the content and the density will increase by itself

This technique isn't to manipulate the search engines rankings but to ensure the spiders know exactly what your site is being optimized for. Once you have the rankings you wish to garnish you can always go back and change those settings and it shouldn't effect your rankings.

NO, whatever you do, don't hide the text. This will look worse to Google.
3% isn't too bad. Also make sure your posts are at least 750 words, sometimes even 1,000.

At the end of the day, if you only hit 97%, that's not too bad. It will be better setup than most sites out there.

Please throw SEOPressor overboard and just use keyword in:

h1 tags
title
internal link
recommended in url
meta tags perhaps
alt img attribute
2-3 times in the content not 2-3%

Thats more then enough, skip all the h2-h6 and bold/italic/underline nonsense. We live in 2012, go along with the time.

Found exactly the same thing. Don't go for 3% if it is starting to look spammy.
If you can manage it and your article still sounds ok thats fine, but usually mine start to sound really lame and like I am trying to force the keyword in there when i read it with 3%.

This will put the reader off, so don't do it. Rather take the 97% score.

I have a similar practice. One of the aspect on some SEO software is to have a minimum article length. I have guilty experience in put in filler words just to hit the perfect score. It end up making the article really lousy... when I read back the next day, I think that even worse...

My take is to accept the score, if there's really no valuable content to add. After all I can try harder next articles.

Yes for sure Google is going to penalize you if you do keyword stuffing.If you really want to add your keywords for large then you can use LSI keywords instead of increasing your keyword density.

Is SEO Pressor even relevant now post penguin? I no longer use it as I think it will likely over optimize the site.

You don't need to get to 100%. If you get to 85% - 90% its good enough. I am ranking for highly competitive keywords at that %. Also version 5 is much better and it is updated for penguin and works great - lots of new goodies.
