I use my scrapebox software about once a year because everytime I try to use it, it has issues...

I find myself trying to set it up and getting it working takes more time than to just manually post comments. I fired up the old scrapebox last night because I got some good proxies.

Well, I blasted out a 1000 comments to wordpress. It had a 75% success rate. Pretty good, right?

NOPE!

I checked my links and 0% posted. ZERO!!!!

So I thought maybe they were in moderation. So I used SB to post some comments on my personal wordpress blogs...

After it said "Success", I checked my wp blogs, guess what... NO COMMENTS in query. Not even in the spam section. No comments even made it to my blogs.

So after about 3 hours of various testing, I finally got it to post to the spam section. I don't know what I did, but atleast we are making progress, right? NOPE!!!

Guess what, scrapebox isnt even using the proxies I inputed, it's using my personal IP!!!!

WTF????

So after 24 hours of "setting up" and "tweaking", I can't even use my good proxies that I aquired... it's will only use my personal proxies.

NOW I can't even make 'real' comments on wordpress blogs now because my IP is blocked by Akismet.

This is why I rarely use Scrapebox because it has issues. Some issues are probably user error because scrapebox isn't very intuitive. And the demo videos they give are way OUTDATED.

I'm so fed up right now.

Anyone having issues where SB won't use proxies, but instead your personal IP?

This is bad, real bad!

Scrapebox has a learning curve without a doubt, but unfortunately I think your having user error

I use Scrapebox religiously and never have many problems with it, except of course the public proxies which is why you buy private.

I'd say stick with it and keep trying, be sure that you have the Use Proxies button ticked on the left side and that you've got some proxies in there. Otherwise it uses your IP address as you've recently figured out.

Worst case, pay someone $50 to learn how to use it! Theres a lot of people that will teach you the ropes for $50.

    This.

Your issues are all user error. I'll admit, Scrapebox lacks in the instructions department. It sucks there. Once you learn how to use it though, it is easy to use.

Best to thoroughly check settings when using new software so things like that don't happen when experimenting (especially when the software needs proxies).

      You can't post to wordpress?

Reset your ip, if you have a router, unplug it leave it for 30 secs and plug it back in, you should have a fresh ip, If you have a datastick this gives you a new ip everytime you log on, I prefer these, clear your cookies etc, use ccleaner. You might want to post with a different email too.

You may find your email is blocked or both your addy and your web address, in that case if you build links with www. use http://yoursite.com instead with another email and this should work. After a few months everything should be O.K and you can go back to what you do.

I have had alot of success with SB, I always a have private proxy's, which are paid. My guess is yours are totally carp and you found them on some BH forum. Also have you used the correct settings for posting? you need to adjust scrapebox else it will blast the hell outta the world.

    What is a datastick?

I am using Easy-Hide proxies. Their proxies are fast.
