Doing another website and SEO

Hello guys.

I messed up on my first site because I didnt look at the exact search term phrases and it was a mistake that I will not make again.

So I want to do another website.
I have hostgator hosting.

If I make another website and get it to page 1, am I supposed to use a different hosting company? I hear things like your website needs a new ip address or something so that it wont affect your footprints or something.

Can I just get a domain name from namecheap and transfer it to hostgator and start working on my site? or will I need to get a different ip address for my new website?

Im not planning to interlink to my other old website. I want to start off fresh

Yes you can absolutely get a domain from namecheap and host it on your hostgator hosting account as an add-on domain with no SEO issue. As you said if you did some interlink to your other website on the same hosting account/ip that would be the only issue as far as SEO goes with multiple domain hosting. Best of luck!

You dont need to use a different host. You will be fine. I would worry about building backlinks for your search terms. What search terms are you looking to target?

Well for my niche, I picked a search term that had 49,000 [broad] hits a month.
What I was supposed to do was look at my keyword for the [exact] search term and my hits was around to 1,500 a month locally.

I got my website to first page of google.

But that was my first mistake, i didnt look for the exact search term phrases.

Now the new keyword I want to rank for is on the same niche but it has [exact search term] of 8,000 hits a month locally.

I heard that having two website on the same hosting company will look bad for google and its on the same ip.

But this is what I wanted to knwo if it was false.

I just want to register my domain on namecheap and transfer it to hostgator.
So I will not have to do anythign else right? I will not interlink my new website to my other one. Can I get to page 1 if my 2 sites are on the same ip?

I want to stop building links on my existing site to see how long it is before it falls off of page 1
