There are some domain registrars which will do this for free with you but that means transferring your names across. I can't think of nay off the top of my head but a quick google will help you.

You can also use a discount code to cut the price down quite a bit. One of these will give you really cheap privacy: GDBB776 or gdz532a. I just can't remember which one I used.

There is no other way on Godaddy for this. But many other domain comapanies offer whois private service for free, so switch them could solve the problem. I don't know any blackhat strategies, so I never worried about whois.

Blocking whois is NOT only for blackhat marketers...

I paid for the privacy thing on godaddy... Then the website went to #2 on Google. Talk about backfire, wish SEO was that easy when I try.

I don't use my name on some of my domains when I reg them. I use a dba (doing business as) name. Where godaddy asks for my name I put in my initials. Under that I use my dba name. When I insert the dba name the godaddy registration form pops up some check boxes which, in essense, ask if I have authority to use my dba name. Of course I do. I use my address for the rest of the form's questions. The post office has been informed that I use the dba name, so any snail mail (rare) addressed to my dba name gets delivered to me.
