NEED EXPERTS ADVISE: SEO with wordpress

In WordPress' default format pages will have more SEO juice than categories.

The reason is because (in the default config) WordPress category pages generally just have the category name at the top and then the list of articles in the category, possibly with some excerpts if that's what you've selected. Whereas pages have well-structured, more detailed content.

If you're able to add a proper header and some introductory text to your category pages, however, this will improve their visibility to the search engines significantly.

An example is this category page, which now figures on the first page of search results:

As long as your product review is totally original it won't be flagged as duplicated. However, if you're reviewing an Amazon product the likelihood is that a LOT of other people have as well, so you will need to make your review extremely detailed, with both pros and cons clearly set out, for it to figure well in the search results - particularly if you're competing against well-established review sites.
