Hey all!

Im new to IM/AdSense/SEO, but Im fast learner. English is not my main language, and thats why Im going for local keywords. Problem is, theres not that much traffic+cpc is quite low. Good part is, competition is quite soft. Now Im trying to figure out how to estimate what is too low traffic/too low cpc, if competition is very soft.

Ive found few keywords, please let me know what you think

Keyword 1
2 Word phrase
12100 Exact Local Searches
CPC €2.47
#1 Result on Google: EMD, .info,PR0 and 12 backlinks.
#2 Result on Google: No url match, no title match, PR4 and 1100 backlinks.
#3 Some random forum thread.
Allinurl/Allintitle gives about 4.5k results
Im able to get .net domain with 1 hyphen, or .co/.me/.biz without hyphen?

Keyword 2
1 Word keyword
27100 Exact Local Searches
CPC €0.63
#1 EMD, .org, PR2 and 69 backlinks
#2-x Random big sites that has this keyword (wikipedia for example)

Keyword 3
2 Word keyword
1600 Exact Local Searches
CPC €0.74
Easy to get to first page on google

Keyword 4
8100 Exact Local Searches
CPC €0.33
#1 PR3 site, rest PR0 sites

So, as you see, theres not that much traffic (KW1 and KW2 has huge traffic compared to those KWs I checked trough today) and very low CPC. But its very easy to get on first page on google.

What you think? So I just search english keywords, or is these local keywords worth anything?

You should have at least 1,000 exact match searches per month on your keywords to be profitable. Use "" "" in your search. Also look at Google 1st page for your keywords. (without brackets) Can you beat out any of the top 10 that are there now? That is your real competition.

I can get to Google 1st page easily with those keywords. Problem is low CPC for most of the keywords in my language, highest paying keywords are only €3-4, and most keywords range from €0.3-1.5.

You think that Keyword 3 is profitable with only 1600 Exact search and €0.74 CPC?

Don't forget to look at first page competition! I would take a keyword with lower search volume and lower first page competition. Look for sites that are easy to out rank or EMDs with very few backlinks.

As I clearly state in the post you quote that I think I can easily get to 1st page on Google with any of those keywords. Competition is not a problem.

What Im asking is if people consider for example €0.70 CPC too low to bother with 1600 exact local searches?

Doh...poor reading comprehension! In our experience, search volume plays a larger role in what the sites actually end up earning. WE would go for KW 3. There's quite a variance there in the KW's you're looking at...it might make sense to try for all of them and look back in a couple of months at which were successful and why. That's what we've tried to do and why we generally stick with options like #3!
