Do you need automated software to really succeed?

Do you need to have some sort of automated software for SEO such as scrapebox, sicksubmitter, Xrumer, ect. to succeed without waiting years for progress? Is there a faster whitehat seo way than just blog commenting/using google footprints to post your link and creating new content from scratch?

Thanks-

No, there aren't any short cuts in this business. The sooner you accept that, the better.

And stay away from those automated link blasts, they do nothing except sandbox your site with poor quality spam links.

Getting into the top doesn't work that way anymore, time to focus on quality instead of quantity.

It depends what you mean 'succeed'. The point to use software is to accelerate some tedious tasks, so your business grows faster. But that does not mean to do black hat stuff, even though both are entangled..

    Sure, no problem.

Go to Odesk and hire yourself an army of writers and VA's.

They'll create you unique content and post it all for you, giving you the needed backlinks to make your site rank.

Although you'll wind up paying a whole lot more than you would for SENuke X ... it doesn't require any software.

I think its all on how you use the software. Xrummer is something that could definantly get your site sandboxed. I think something like senuke x, is something that if used corrrectly, will just cut your time by 10x. Just as long as your providing quality content, to the sites that your posting too. That's the point of automated software, is to automate things. Not to be the end all solution, but to streamline the proccess.

Website promoters do need SEO software to automate certain tasks, e.g.
      • rank checking
      • keyword research
      • researching competitors' backlinks for better link-building
      • checking out tech aspects (broken links, HTML code and validation errors)
      • generating XML sitemaps
      • etc
You can do some of the listed tasks manually, but it requires time that you most likely can't afford to spend.

I understand that there are other people still believe software automation will help them faster in SEO. For me SEO is like business you need to spend your time, effort, hardworking, and patience to achieve your goal. Investment is the key and when doing SEO, we need to build a relationship because we are humans.

All the SEO tasks can be done manually but some process take too much time.
These SEO softwares or tools help to automate some of the process and it saves your time to do more productive work. I use several SEO tools for different process but still manual touch is there in every process. It’s up to you, what exactly you want to do with you system and which time consuming process you want to automate.

I wonder if all the panmanual SEO advocates on this forum have ever done SEO for a living. If you had, you would probably know  ...
It depends on the bulk of work you have to do. If you have one website, one blog, one product or one company to promote, then, yes, you don't really need no SEO tool at all (besides, perhaps, Google Adwords Keyword tool or similar).
But of you have a hundred websites, thousands of keywords to track, how are you going to do it by hand? Well, you can, but at the same time you could be making more money if you had more time, no?

You can succeed but people use software and automated process so they have time to focus on other parts of their business.

Automation tools are not necessary to succeed. I must say that article spinners are quite useful, but that doesn't mean you have to pay for it. Just sign up to the mailing list of well known internet marketers and they will always send you free software such as article spinners.

    I hope this helps!
