Thats a good idea to understand it yourself, although you should always think about outsourcing to free up your time. If, as I gather from your post, you are just starting off, there is a multitude of good information to be found here for free on the WF on kw research.

In terms of something that combines that and a Amazon relevant course, there was a WSO released last week I think, called the Amazon treasure chest, I cant recall the warrior who released it but by all accounts, its good stuff and might be a one stop shop for you to get started on a definitive path.

I'm sure that WSO was closed a day or two ago. I think you can get on her mailing list though to be notified if it reopens.

Here's a really good thread on finding Amazon products to promote:

If you do a search on here, you'll find a lot of good information. I think the 30 Day Challenge also has some good tips and strategies on keyword research.

  • Hi Earningmoney,

Hmmm... You can select three subject areas/main categories where you believe people are looking for relevant solutions on the Internet for their immediate needs and urgent problems. As an example, say I select:

    •Beauty
    •Career
    •Money

Under beauty, people want to buy fashionable clothes and accessories, buy products and ebooks with home remedies, daily programs and solutions that can help them get rid of skin problems such as acne, lose weight, gain weight, have white teeth, get rid of bad breath, have radiant skin and healthy hair among others...

Under career, people need products and ebooks which can help them learn new things to expand their skills and tips or strategies to improve their careers among others...

Under money, people need products and ebooks that can show them new opportunities to earn more money, teach them how to gain from those new beneficial opportunities, manage their finances better, manage their investments better, manage their assets and liabilities as well as taxes better, get better jobs and solve their debt problems among others...

Next: I'll list down relevant keywords most likely used by people with those particular needs and problems...

At this point: It'll be good to zone in on particular groups of people with those needs and problems that are most likely regularly searching and purchasing beneficial solutions on the Internet. By particular groups, I mean country of residence, gender, race, age bracket, profession and lifestyle. I'd then list down a set of relevant keywords most likely used in Google by each particular group of people...

I'd then go to Amazon, to my target main categories/subject areas and study if relevant solutions/products under those main categories are indeed profitable. I'll also list down relevant keywords, especially specific product names, brands and models...

I'll then use the Google Keyword Tool to get exact match keywords...

I'll then select the exact match keywords which could provide me with the best benefits as an Amazon affiliate product marketer...

Hi. Aside from the threads here, you could always look at Search Engine Land, SEOChat, or better look at the pdf file from Google - Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide. For keyword analysis, list the keywords or plain words/phrases that you think your website is focusing. Then try to be a searcher, what words will you enter in Google when you look for the products of your website - as simple as that. You can also post your website URL here so we can help you.
