By Default my WP theme uses excerpts from pages as meta description how can i change this ??

Hi guys,
A long time ago i had a website made for me using iThemes builder theme. I use seo all in one on all my sites and could never understand why on earth i could never get the meta description that i entered into all in one to show in the SERPs but after i looked into it more today i saw this ........

NOTE: By default, this theme uses either the excerpt on single posts or pages,
or the blog tagline on all other pages (home, archives, etc.) as the META description.

How can i change this not to show excerpts from pages but to show the description i use in all in one instead ?

    I guess your template uses some php code that automatically takes an excerpt from your blog post and uses it as meta description. You will need to find the php code that is doing this and comment it. Maybe search for: meta name="description" or something similar to find the code section.

    thanks for your reply, the theme is soo different from any other i`ve used or seen before it looks ok but its a strange theme to work with i`d love to change it cannot right now. the editor section looks different then what ive seen before and cannot find any code that looks like it could change the meta description.

    You wouldn`t fancy having a look for me if i give you the dashboard password would you ??
