Hey guys, have you seen this:
Official Google Blog: Introducing the Google+ project: Real-life sharing, rethought for the web

Looks like Google is going to give Facebook a run for its money.

There is Google+ Circles, Sparks, Hangouts, and mobile. Its quite ambitious, taking social networking to a new level. Well, there's no one more equipped to create this than Google.

Time to explore how we can take advantage of this for our IM biz!

This won't even come close to giving Facebook a run for it's money. I predict another ho hum launch for this, probably with the announcement that it's shutting it down in a year or so due to lack of interest.

Hmmm... you could be right seeing that they failed in entering the social network "niche" with Wave and Buzz. But then again, if they're trying for the 3rd time, they must be really determined (and smarter on how NOT to launch a social networking site).

The problem here is if they add g+ in their algorithm, everyone will be mad! You'll need to SEO, some will black hat trying to get friends and click Plus one on site.... This can be a nightmare, I don't think it's a great idea to take account with search ranking.
If they do, I'm sure that new shaddy seo techs will arise and after the BMR, Xrumer..... maybe the PlusLike will born.

The site is not yet fully open to public. Even the invitations based membership is full. Its too early to tell if Google's new project will be popular. Besides I wonder what will be the fate of Orkut, their existing social networking site.
