I am concerned about not being consistent on my sites. I suppose I need to do a 301. Never done that, I am no expert. I found this page, recommended by someone on here, IIRC.

301 Redirect non WWW. to WWW. website domain

Which do you use on your websites? Do you think that webmasters are headed toward dropping the www part?

mysite.com
www.mysite.com

With or without www, it's gonna be the same. Juste make sure the 301 is correctly done to avoid DC.

How would I know if it is done correctly? (Especially since it's me who will be the one doing it, haha.)

First there is no difference in non www and with www sites, just use permanent 301 redirect. Now there are many ways to do this, just need little knowledge of coding if you want to redirect through coding.
