Hi all of you SEO experts

I was wondering - I heard in one program that if you put duplicate content on multiple web2.0 sites, as long as you don't put it on your site too - its not considered duplicate content ( I mean it is but your site is not affected ) and your site will benefit from it like if it was original

Let me specify:

1) I create profiles on sites like:

Ezinearticles
scribd
squidoo
wordpress.com
weebly
blogger.... etc

And I put the same article with in-context links on every one of them
But I don't put the article on my site.

Will it still be considered, will my site be penalized in some way, etc?

Please share your experience...

Thank you

That would not considered as a duplicate content as far as you do not use it on your site. However, the value which the inbound links from those web 2.0 sites to your site will be reduced as far as you are not using unique article with each of those web 2.0 sites. If you could use unique articles/content with all those 2.0 sites what would give you more value than a shared-content

Its better not to spin "same" content on multiple sites. i would suggest sharing the same article on at most 4-5 different sites. their is no point in posting dupe stuff on different sites because it won't help you. keep it simple and you will get what your goal is.
