Recovered From Panda So Far....

Hey guys

Posted a while ago how all of my sites, every single site and page had been slapped since panda. I have tried everything, including redirects but it seems redirects just transfer any penalty if any to the new domain after a few days even though I regained rankings temporarily.

From first being hit I decided to try something different. I am in no way claiming what I done is responsible for my recovery as of 2 days ago, but it does seem pretty weird.

What did I do? Well, I kept content the same as I felt it was unique and quality, what was the point of rewriting stuff just cause google don't like it. I know what I am talking about so why let some robots tell me it's no good.

Anyway, all of my sites were made in xsite pro. For a change I decided to reflesh 5 sites in wordpress, same tags, descriptions, contents setting etc as they were on xsite pro. Whilst doing so I added tweeting functionality as well as facebook and got me some followers, just for a change as I was so used to the bland static xsite pro approach.

Kept the wordpress homepage static, enabled comments and left. As of yesterday 4 of those 5 sites have popped back up on the first page regaining there original positions or just missing them by 2-3 places.

4 sites have 10-12 pages of content, not including about, privacy etc. the 5th site has over 30 pages and of that 17 pages have gained close to there original positions.

No additional backlinking was done, just what I stated. Now I know this could just be a case of re-ranking and perhaps soon they will drop again, who knows. But as of now money is on the up, and although confused, I am going to enjoy it while I can.

What are your thoughts on this? Has anyone else experienced this?

Adding social "signals" to your overall sites profile seems like a rather smart thing to do.

Can you elaborate on the plugins or methods for using twitter and facebook you employed?

good post btw - thanks for it

Plugins I used were all in one seo pack, really simple share and wp to twitter. other plugins for design purposes included linkwithin and thumb excerpts.

I set up a facebook fan page and followed a tutorial online that posts updates directly to the fan page, the wp to twitter plugin was great for tweeting and was a breeze to setup.

Didn't really do anything special, followed folk so I got followed back. As for facebook likes I payed someone at fiverr to share my sites.

I may be jumping the gun here but the last 2 days I put a new Wordpress theme and touched up some articles on my Panda destroyed site. I added some extras to the major pages and now today im starting to see some traffic again. Not much but traffic on my major keywords that I haven't seen in weeks. Im keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that my site is slowly starting to rank again throughout the country.

Are you saying that you transferred your Xsite Pro static sites to WP?
If so, did you just copy/paste and did you do redirects?

btw, you can set WP to add .html to the end of a url, so redirects etc might not be needed, just a thought

Mostly the keywords placed in url's will be helpful.so that the static site changed to wordpress really helps you to gain ranking.
Even i did same thing but differently by blocking search engines for a week and then re allow it after correcting all duplicate content get my site back to the place.

I seen some tips here,It might help some one.
