Stuck to page 2, how to move up?

It's been over a month now that I launch my site. I've apply all what people do and recommend here:
-xrumer
-senuke
-press release
-article commenting
-directories (paid & free)
-edu & gov backlinks
-pyramid backlinks
-web 2.0 backlinks
-rss submit
-quality and unique content
-backlinkchecker (try my best to replicate backlinks)

All were done slowly like 1-3 above each week.
This jumps my site from page 19 to page 2 within 10 days after I've launched. However, even continuing with building backlinks it stuck to page 2 and not move ranking higher.

My competitors have fewer links. Some site ranks better are not worth like amazon (display one page with item's same niche as mine), Wikipedia... Most on page 1 are e-commerce sites.

So how can I beat them and get my page on page 1?

I know everybody here ask the same question, and answer are always the same so it's a bit ridiculous to see again same answers but this case is different because all what people will answer to have been applied and still glue it to page 2 in google.

Do you have any advices. I don't want an answer like keep improving quality backlinks, adding contents. That's what I'm doing with no effects.

Need real SEO experts or people having similar experiences and solve that issue.

    Off page SEO is great. It sounds like you're doing it mostly right, not really much I would change though.

    However, you didn't mention On Page SEO.

    If two sites have exactly the same backlinks, the site with better on page SEO will show up higher. Better on page SEO can pop you above site with better backlinks.

    Main factors to worry about are Title Tag, Meta Description, and h1 Heading tag. Put your main keyword in those and you'll be all set.

    If its a high competition market, include meta keywords, keyword densities, keyword location, italics/bold, alt attributes, image names, and synonyms on page. Possibly a few more changes if needed.

    That should quickly pop you up to page 1.

      Hey, great start for an advice.
      Well My title tag, contents (keyword density) should be fine, the only thing I've discover is most of my competitors have meta keyword and description codes. My website don't simply because I've read that Google skip these tags for ranking and that's the reason Wordpress don't have it by default (still available as plug in). So do you think I sould add these metas or it's worthless? Just a quick note to say that my site ranks top 3 in Yahoo/bing.

      I hope you're right and there must be a small tweak like magic to do better ranking.

    Yes definitely do meta tags. Google doesn't use the keyword, but other search engines do, so its worth filling out.

    The description meta tag is used by Google, and it's seen by people when your site ranks in a search so its useful both in ranking and improving your click through.

    Use a plugin called "All In One SEO" it makes it super easy to add/edit meta tags. I'd also suggest Google xml sitemaps, robots.txt, SEO smart links, and w3 cache. Those will help get pages indexed, hide your plugins, improve internal linking, and improve load time.

    Those should help.

    do you by any chance build all the backlinks to only your 1 main keyword? I has a site stuck in rank #13 for 2 months no matter how many quality backlinks I build it will not move. I tried build links to the website address as the anchor text and almost immediately it move to page 1...I don't know if its luck or google really want to see variation of anchor text.

      I think you're talking about Anchor text in the first sentence. And no, you don't want to do that. Maybe 25% of all the links have your main keyword as anchor text, 40% have random keywords that are related, and 35% have no anchor text.

      And you also don't want all the links going to the home page. I usually try and get 60-70% to the home page, and the rest to sub-pages on the site.

        Add some really quality unique content to your site and see how it goes, also I suggest you create a good website architecture and navigation structure, if it's a blog, don't post your articles to one and the same category only. Addig some media like relevant videos or images with relevant alt text could help as well.

        Good luck!

        @englandrm
        -sitemap already done before
        -"All in SEO plugin" for metas is broken according to WP site for new version.

        @Heavenstorm
        @englandrm
        Anchor text done like 80% main keywords, the rest are random keywords talking about backlinks. Pointing to home and some other inner pages.

        @Irmsher
        Yes I've got unique quality content, very accurate, navigation structure is also SEO correctly, videos and images (with tag) too.

        @ncr1983
        "Create more quality content, get more pages indexed..." already done.

        @nersvarbu
        Alredy have .edu and .gov done twice with 2 different companies (persons)

        I'm also using a blog for news witch is frequently updated and ping.

        For improvement might do the meta keyword but not sure it will do better, who knows.
        Do inner linking like achor text to another page will do good?

    You said "inner linking" above. Internal Linking is huge in SEO, especially if some of the pages have a decent page rank.

    You can anchor text the links, and it helps distribute "link juice" throughout the site.

    I use the WP plugin "SEO Smartlinks." It auto-creates anchor texted links around your website.
