I have a longtail keyword that has about 11 words in it, and has over 100,000 searches per month with only 2 competing web sites; its golden. But its too long to put in domain name for someone to remember and type in. I really need some suggestions as to some alternatives! Rob.m

Is that 100,000 EXACT searches, or just BROAD?

If it's broad, re-do the search as exact to get a better idea.

Personally, that's WAY too long for a URL in my opinion

What I would do personally is get a shorter version of that keyword as my URL, and name a page/post with the longer tailed versoin

    IE: NicheSite.com/this-is-my-niche-site-post-because-its-seo-friendly

Still long, BUT better (and more 'radio friendly') than the 11 word domain

    Just my $0.02

I agree with Jeff. That seems pretty long IMO. And if it's that long, I'd guess that the search volume is for the "Broad" phrase. Narrow it down and see what the "exact" search volume is.

Sorry 11 words? update to my last post .. ya-NO... way to long , although anyone searching that many words in Google LOL like my wife.. would deef be interested, but like I said I think my wife is the only one searching 11 word keywords.. So go long but don't shoot yourself with no traffic.. 4 is Great 5 is cool too but 6-11, ya not so much..
