One of my page is ranking first page on Google and is getting quite good traffic On that particular keyword. I plan to build links pointing to that page. Will that help my other pages rank better as well or should I build links on other pages instead?

    i think you should build links on other pages instead of ur ranked page. You should target the keyword of that page u want to promote and want to getting more traffic.

      I agree with Tom. We built up a great PR and good healthy ranking page on Google. However we sort of left every other page to do its own thing. Regret this now, as we are starting late to build links for the long terms and so on with other pages being the landing source. Focus on your main page but at the same time don't leave out the rest!

    You should create Backlinks to other pages, but you can also give some link juice from the ranking page to other pages of your site by adding links to other pages of your site on your main page.

    You should build links for both main page and secondary pages to make sure your ranked page stays in ranking and other pages gain rankings.

      If you people actually looked at reality, you would know the answer.

      If all links can be gotten from your main page, there is little reason
      to build links to all pages. There is not enough time in the day for
      real quality links.

      PR flows downhill. Your PR will flow via internal linking. That's
      the way wikipedia, amazon, etc. do it. Why would you choose
      to anything different?

      If you have time, toss a few links to a few of your stellar pages
      that rock.

      But the vast majority of your link building should be to the main index
      page. Build authority. It flows.

      If you go all over the map, none of your pages will do much of anything,
      or maybe a subpage will be the only one that rocks. You don't want
      that. You want your main index to get the most PR and authority. Then
      let it flow naturally.
