    Adwords?

No one can tell you whats the fastest way. If we knew it, we all would be mouth shut enjoying billion of dollars, right?

What you can do is feed Google what he wants: unique content + backlinks.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

If you're using wordress, get & install SEOPressor to help with on page optimization factors, make sure you have relevant, unique content, and build anchor text backlinks that are dofollow & located on domains with a high PR.

Always remember that there is clause in the Google patents that suggests that Google can penalize or demote a website for rankings too quickly in certain niches.

This is a massive sign of spam and search engine manipulation, mainly derived from black-hat tactics i would think.

I haven't seen this happen myself but heard that it has happened quite often before.

Just build your links at a steady rate, always naturally, and you will rise up in the SERPs as quickly as you need to.

Just a hint, I normally mix up my keywords, some with high competition, some with low. So I am always ranking the low ones really quickly and the high ones are sort of like long-term projects.

The fruit is worth it when you start getting some #1's

    Good luck brother!

Buy the current number one site and 301 redirect to your site.

Fastest, but by no means cheapest

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

Lol, good in theory but Google will likely demote a 301 page from position one

Just buy it and your done

  • Well, there is no 'fast' way as such. The saying that SEO is a marathon not a sprint holds true. That said, focusing on the basics of SEO such as killer on-page and then nailing off-page by getting quality sites to link back to you (with the anchor text as your keyword), you will have the fastest results.

Keeping fresh and unique content on your website seems to also provide a more positive impact in rankings after the Google Panda update nowadays.

Most of the fastest ways are not the best for long term value. However, here goes. Assuming your on page is ok, go out and commission an SEO agency that can access (most probably buy or rent) a bunch of highly relevant, high quality links.

The fastest way to get to #1 is to target noncompetitive keywords. But these will rarely get searched, so it's kind of pointless.

Sorry, but there's not a real shortcut. Just a lot of hard work which doesn't always pay off. But when it does, it's worth the effort.
