Any Reasonable Alternatives to AdSense

Are there any reasonable alternatives to AdSense?

I have a site I think I need to try something different on. I've had it up for about four months, it displays AdSense ads, it gets traffic, but in my AdSense reports it doesn't even show up as getting any impressions. It makes no sense to me, and I have checked and rechecked and cannot find any errors in the code or anything that would cause it to maybe not be counting impressions. I understand when there are discrepancies between your own stats and Google's stats, but to show no impressions at all? That just doesn't make sense to me. For all I know, I could be getting clicks on the site too, and those aren't being recorded either!

So, I'm thinking maybe I need to try something other than AdSense.

    Hi Dan,

Sounds like you do not have things setup properly. I would try to fix this as there are no ad programs that compare favorably to AdSense.

First question is have you setup URL Channels? You won't see anything in your reports if you have not set this up.

If you're sure you've go your channel tracking setup correct then you will want to make sure that you are not just getting PSAs:

Go to one of the pages that displays your ads and view the source of the page to make sure the publisher ID matches yours exactly (there has been of scripts that change these).

Also go to "Allowed Sites" under "AdSense Setup" and make sure you have selected "Allow any site to show ads for my account ".

You problem has got to be one of these things.

    HTH,

Yes. An URL Channel is set up for the site.

Regular ads are displaying; not PSAs.

      It's a match.

Also go to "Allowed Sites" under "AdSense Setup" and make sure you have selected "Allow any site to show ads for my account ".
I'm using "Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account" but the site is listed (and spelled correctly) as an allowed site.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

I find most other advertising companies either just display porn ads or ban you unreasonably.
