I was checking out the rankings for a few of my sites and I noticed I get different search results for the keywords I am using bwtween sesrching on my mibile phone vs my desktop computer. For two keywords I am #2 on my desktop SERPS, but #5 and #6 when I do the same search on my mobile phone (using Google mobile). Before it would be the same results, but recently I have been noticing different results. Anyone else seeing this as well and any way to optimize for the mobile version of Google as well?

If you are using a full-fledged web browser, .mobi is a non-issue.

But if they go by location, then where ever the server is for your internet
mobile connection would be taken into account.

Google gives searches in relation to location, time, and, if they
      know it, your demographic.

There's no way searches on a phone would not be different in probably
      most cases.

If you are using a smartphone, it is pretty much a closed environment.

Different data centers may show different results.
Being logged in to Google may show different results.
The search history on the device that you are using may also cause different results.

You need to eliminate the above before trying to determine anything else.
