My Adsense Earnings Are Going Up! Why?

I want to put this as simply as I can, but for some inexplicable reason my Adsense earnings are going up quite dramatically which is saying something for me

I would ask what can I do to accurately track where the clicks are coming from?.

I mean it's wonderful and everything, like my estimated earnings for July are more than the entire month of June. It's a pinch me moment as I have never made money with Adsense like this.

So it would be great if someone can help me understand what I'm doing right so I can rinse and repeat.

Thanks very much

Brian

I can't add shinola about origin of clicks. I don't worry about it.
I do check traffic logs and latest visitors. I'm not even convinced
that one can pinpoint it perfectly and that it matters.

Nothing to worry about if visitors are real and so are the clicks.

Contrary to popular belief, google wants you to get clicks and
    make money.

I am on pace to beat last month, and last month was a record.

Relax and enjoy the ride. In fact, I'm out for blood. I'm anticipating
    even bigger things!

That’s good. I have tried adsence before but I didn’t have much success. I would just recommend continuing doing whatever it was you did last.

Essentially Google Analytics is the only way to do it unless you set it up by page in Adsense.

Have you checked your traffic stats? You may have had a keyword jump up in the search results and now you're getting a lot more traffic.

I would ask what can I do to accurately track where the clicks are coming from?
If you have google analytics installed you can link it together with your adsense account and see exactly which pages are bringing in the most clicks.

There are a lot of factors to determine CPC. Probably adsense detect a keyword that have better pay that the KW you used to write about.

I've had the same thing happen in the past week or so, none of the sites are ranked well in Google and traffic doesn't show Google as the source.

Instead I'm getting traffic from Yahoo/Bing. Recently several of my websites have shot to the top of those search engines and my income has nearly doubled as a result! Have you checked your rankings in the other search engines?

Connect your Adsense account to your Analytics account, & you can see exactly which web page is making the most Adsense earnings.

You can't see any earnings before the date that you connect the two accounts, still any future earnings will be tracked with a lot of details.

I don't want to scare you but it could be due to someone trying to get your account banned. See if there's any abnormal activity in the traffic/IP logs.

We need more info: Your earnings could be increasing for either/both of two reasons: Your traffic is increasing and/or you're getting paid more per click. (Although higher click rate is also an option)

Increased traffic is self-explanatory...You could be getting more per click simply because you have two merchants in a "bidding war" and are increasing the amount they will pay per click.

It's also possible your site's quality score is going up. Google doesn't pay all webmasters the same for the same click. If a site only gets traffic from a single source, then it's likely the website will have a lower quality score and get paid less per click. So, if your site is getting more traffic and it's from other places, not only will you get more clicks, it's possible each click will be worth more.

Firstly, congratulations. Secondly, I would be slightly alarmed if the earnings made a jump for no explicable reason ...

Maybe one of the top keywords made to #1, or may me a noob has set their adwords account without a daily budget.... there could be many reasons.

Installing analytics and linking with adsense is the best way to know for sure.

    Well done BTW!

That's the best thing which can happen to someone . I would love to read what you did last time that you got such an increase in earnings. May be your blog or site has suddenly started getting ads which the visitors are more interested in.

Yeah it is so funny how people can just be afraid of google for no reason
      other than fear.

Google wants you to earn money. The more you make, the more they make.

If people would bother reading everything google publishes about adsense,
they would know that google tells you to not be afraid. They want you
to get a legitimate bump in earnings.

Anyone who tells you to contact google is nuts. They tell you NOT to.

Seriously. Why are you people afraid of an increase? That's what we're all
      fighting for! That's the point!

It is possible you may have been smart priced and now for some reason, Google has lifted it's smart pricing.

One site I run is in a niche that does great from October - April just the nature of the topic.

Peak earnings from Adsense reaches about $1000 per month on this site alone. The number of clicks in April are about 4 times higher than they are in October, but the earnings are about the same.

From May - September, there's almost no traffic. Earnings drop off big time BUT the payout per click is about 10 times what it is from October - April.

There is obviously smart pricing in effect.

This can be what's happening here ... just a thought.
