Could be that BMR best for new sites?

Hey guys,

I've been using the BMR service for 2 months or now but I don't see any change in places for my keywords. They are not very competitive, we are talking about 2,400 searches and 8,100 searches per month for exact keywords and they are stuck on pages 6-7 on Google.

I don't use the max posts per day, I don't post 10 posts per keyword and these sites are not new as well. I have 5 sites that I promote and various keywords for the sites so I lack the time to do 50 posts per day.

Any ideas? Maybe BMR is best for new sites to get them pushed an older sites don't get the influence or is it because I don't post 10 posts a day per keyword?

Thank you,

Could be. I just went through three months of BMR on 20 of my sites. Had BMR write all of the articles. ....Not much change! But none of them were new.

    Thank you,
Just to be clear, searches aren't relevant to competition.

But, to answer your question, any single strategy may not be enough. You need a good mix of linking strategies to really make any of them work.

I have been using BMR for about a month now posting the max each day, my site is a little over a year old and as of today i have had no gain from google but for bing and yahoo I have jumped from the 2nd and 3rd pages to top three on page one for all my keywords.

I've used it with success on a site that's just a little over a year old, but it didn't have any links until about december, so not sure if that matters.

Have you tried varying your BMR strategies? For example, bury the keyword in the middle of the post.

Use longer posts, with either 1 or 2 links (combination of both)?

Put the keyword in the first sentence?

Put the keyword in the last sentence?

Vary the word count in your posts. You don't want all of them to be exactly 150 for example.

          Just some ideas.

Also, I wouldn't use it as my only source for links. Some link diversity is always good.

Also, how are you judging the competition of your keyword? Could be it's much more difficult than you think it is.

Lastly, have you evaluated your on-page SEO?

BMR works great when you use it properly.

The questions the user asked above are great questions to get you started. Although you'll want to use BMR on more than just your money website.

Are you building out supporting sites and linking to those, which in turn link to your money site?

Are you diversifying your anchor text and backlinking more than just your homepage? Its important to be interlinking your content/urls as well as that will help send pagerank/linkjuice throughout your website effectively.

Finally, don't just depend on BMR, you need to diversify your incoming links from more than just small blog snippets that you get with BMR.

I don't understand why so many people are having problems with ranking using BMR. Are you putting the keyword in the Title and as the first word(or at least first sentence) of each post?

I've only had trouble with one keyword in my 3-4 month (600 post volume) experience. And that was for a term that has 74,000 exact match searches. lol Anything else, BMR pretty much dominates.

The only thing I would caution against (especially if you're using BMR exclusively) is always putting your link in the first sentence.

I have no idea if Google is smart enough to figure it out, but it's not natural for all your links to come from the first sentence of a 150 word snippet.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I change things up a little. Especially varying the post length.

Great answers guys, just to answer some queries that rose here:

        - I do link to inner pages as well and not just the home page

        - I don't put my link in the first sentence but change it from post to post but keep it in the first paragraph

        - I link only to my money site but I understand why to link to a supporting site and that to the money site

        - Need to get back to article marketing soon, don't believe in profile backlinks

        - No problem with my on-page seo I can tell you for sure

I'll keep building links, hope it will help...don't know what I'm doing wrong or why it doesn't pushes me, maybe diversify links...maybe that....

        Thank you all guys!
