It's been a while since I've been here.

Here's a recap:

Two and a half years ago I got laid off from an office assistant job, and my wife was pregnant at the time.

I was unemployed, so I decided to get some more job skills while I was out of work. I went online and found SEO, AdSense, affiliate marketing, freelancing, then I started my own consulting company. I did have a peripheral background in writing and editing, so I tried to maximize and develop my existing skills while adding others.

All of this took a long time. 30 months of 12-16 hour days, 7 days a week, giving up almost every weekend, researching and working whenever I could, giving up time with family, time for fun, pushing forward after every dismal failure, of which there were many.

I wanted to give up, and I thought I gave up many times. You will too. After feeling sorry for yourself, or blaming someone else, you'll realize there's no one else that will help you. You will need to try something new, or fall back and regroup, do more research, but ultimately you will Never Give Up.

There's no end to the struggle, that's the bad news. The good news is that along the way you'll learn things about yourself that will make you step back and respect what you've become. You'll begin to realize the universe moves around you to find the path of least resistance, and that you can change your reality.

I've finally found some peace, a little security, and the knowledge that it's not where you are, but where you're going, and how you want to live your life.
