Adsense alternatives?

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a suitable alternative to Adsense for contextual advertising for publishers?

We've checked a few ones: Infolinks, Chitika etc - but need a different alternative - ideally something with better contextual targeting and more image display ads.

In particular, we are looking for ad networks that can target India traffic.

In addition, also looking for an ad network that can place pay-per-click ads we can place on a vacation rental site, e.g. we don't want to see competitive ads but something related to travel, insurances, loans and that kind of stuff.

rgds,
J

Hey, this is Tammy from Infolinks. Our In-Text ads are a great alternative or supplement to AdSense. Our publishers find that the combination of both is actually the best combination for optimized monetization. If you have any questions about Infolinks please don't hesitate to contact us at suport(at)infolinks(dot)com.

      Happy blogging,

      Tammy

I agree, there is no alternative to adsense. No other can match the adsense high payouts.

In my opinion there is no good alternative of gogole adsense because the revenue sharing rate of adsense is much higher than other PPC programs.

You are all right that adsense is the best...but think about the people that cannot get a adsense account so for them alternatives are a good option...

Honestly, I think adsense is the best for what you are looking for. Why dont you try yahoo and msn ad networks. I guess those are pretty close to adsense in respect to what you are looking for

Try microsoft ads and yahoo advertsing solutions, those are just as good as google adsense

Nobody read the original post. Many of those things mentioned
are just not prudent for "target traffic in India." Funny how
the OP evens mentions needing something other than chitika
      (and infolinks)....exactly....

      Good luck with that one.

I Guess Adbrite is because they also pay good money and 5$ is the lowest pay out there but one thing i found wrong about it is they dont show relevant ads to your blog : (

Two places I suggest trying out (which hasn't been mentioned yet) is:
    1. AdDynamo
    2. IntentClick

Although remember that you get only a few cents for sending a potential sale away to another site... I hate the thought of that and would never advise these things.

You can stop looking because there's no alternative to Adsense.

All the things listed above are jokes/gimmicks.

I've tried a few, including those listed above. They're largely junk unless you're in a competitive niche (e.g. weight loss). And if you're in a good niche then you're leaving money on the table by using AdSense instead of CPA offers.

Adsense is without a doubt the cream of the crop and has no comparible alternatives, but from my experience the only two in which have been close in terms or adequacy and payouts are bidvertiser and adbrite.

Infolinks has provided me with quite a bit of money but it tends to slow a site down if you place to many ads on a page as well as not really looking very nice with the pop up - but that's my opinion.
