I was using blog commenting sometimes back but I get out of it, as far as I found many blogs which offer a link (specially dofollow) are being spammed later days and the link over that page really lost the value and I heard that would lead to harm the site rankings.

Is there anyone still using the blog commenting as a successful method of ranking? Obviously, I am sure that the combinations of link building methods only leads to success, but I always hate blog commenting and stay away and had got success too, but I just want to know how you guys feel about 'blog commenting', Have you guys had got success with it? Share your useful tips and ideas about 'blog commenting'

Personally I stay very clear of this approach.
It was very effective a couple of years back and I have heard/seen plently of examples whereby sites still benefit from the approach.
The problem with commenting on blogs for the simple focus of getting a link is a very narrow sighted one in my opinion.

If the comments you make on a blog are not relevant to the post and the site owner moderates them then you will have the comment marked as spam.
If the comments you make on a blog are not relevant to the post and the site owner doesn't moderate them then you will be soon joined by lots of other spam comments on the page which could put you in bad company in the eyes of Google.
If the comments you make on a blog are relevant to the post and the site owner does moderate them then you will make a positive contribution to their site and they will hopefully visit yours to see if what you have to say/offer could be of value.

I comment regularly on different blogs and through this interaction I have met numerous people who I have been able to work for and with to help on many projects.
If you approach blog commenting with a view of actually providing value to another website rather than looking for a quick win for your own you can gain so much more.

Just my 2 cents but I'm sure someone will post their own succesfull experiences with some hardcore piece of blog commenting software

Amenda, based on my experience I feel that blog comments aren't helping any more to gain rankings for your target keywords or to get positive feedback from Google. But, as @SimpleSEOTipc guy said, if you use blog commenting to build a good network which is relevant to your niche, then you can definitely work and place more comments, BUT if you point of view is to get good backlinks then I am not favoring blog comments at all as I find most of the websites are giving nofollow backlinks.

    Hope this helps.

Blog commenting still provides some SEO benefit, but it isn't as much as it used to be. Posting relevant comments on moderated blogs is really the best way to go as Simple pointed out.

In my experience, blog commenting still works as a beneficial source of backlinking, no matter if the site is no follow or do follow. A link is still a link. Do the commenting manually, add value to the conversation, and you will get links that stick. If Google doesn't follow the link, Yahoo or Bing will.

Blog commenting still works for many. But if I were you, I'd stay away from it. Most sites, especially those with moderators, will block your IP once they know what you're up to. If you want backlinks, try blogging underground and linkvana. Those are white hat methods that really work.

Blog commenting is very effective but it is not easy to do it since most of the do follow blogs moderate your comments and reject it if they found it looks like spam.

in terms of passing link juice, i think you would need so many comments done manually it wouldnt be worth it. If you were going to use an auto blog comment poster, then i would only use it to create links to other sites that link back to the money site.
