I have a client who does interior design in jacksonville fl and wanted more business through google search so i optimized her website. In two weeks we moved it from spot 56 to spot 1. Heres how i did it.
Step One - I did some keyword research and figured out the best keywords to focus on.
Step Two - I did some competitive research by googleing our keywords
Step Three - I took the top competitor entered link:http://URL and figured out how many backlinks they had indexed in Google
Step Four - I figured out how many links i needed to outrank my competition and got a team of backlinkers on Backlinkteam.com
Step Five - After two weeks we were ranked on the place pages and in the natural search results on 6 of our major keywords.

Just thought this would help you guys and wanted to pass it along. Thanks

I love seeing this, good old fashioned grunt work with a little marketing built in the post, I love it! This is a good example of giving helpful advice with a link to the site you're promoting at the same time, more people should follow this!

I'm trying to figure out how you started out in spot 56, THEN did keyword research.

How tough were the keywords? That makes a huge difference as well. I have personally ranked in position 1 with very little effort in a matter of a week.... but there was literally no competition.... so it was easy.

    A lot of "unknowns" there.

Looks like when their site was in spot 56, they then hired him and he moved it from spot 56 to spot number one.

yes you don't know the keywords but I don't think he should share him on the open forum, here.

I think you misunderstood my question.... or maybe I did a bad job at asking it which is very possible. I didn't ask for his keywords, just how tough they were.

        Let me try again.....

He said the site was in spot 56 and then he did keyword research to find the best keywords to focus on:

and my point is HOW do you do keyword research to find the right keywords if the site is already ranking in spot 56 for a keyword. Seems like you wouldn't have to do any keyword reseach because that has already been done and the keyword has been determined and is ranking (in spot 56). If you do NEW keyword research after already ranking in spot 56.... looks like it would be for a new keyword (s)....

that's what I'm not understanding. Sorry for the confusion

Nice one! I'm quite sure it's all because you've done well with the keyword research and have written a solid content targeting user experience instead of search engine algorithms. Well done!

From 56 to 1 in two weeks means that its a pretty low competition keyword.

Either way, great job on obtaining that top spot! Now go grab yourself the top spot for the more competitive keywords with more traffic.

Thanks, the keywords very actually pretty competitive, when we got them as a client they had already been ranked in spot 56 for a while so when we got them the links they moved up pretty quickly. Our competition had about 1400 links that we had to overcome but we are well past that now. The keywords were centered around interior designers in jacksonville fl and ponte vedra. We also used the same strategy for "Barter" related keywords and got the website in my sig ranked in three weeks for very competitive keywords.. We did spend about 19K on links though but it has paid off.

      True
We don't need to spend much. Anyway thanks for the method.

I do not mean to dismiss what you did thomar29. I have never got a ranking that fast, but a few questions. 1. How long was the site up before you started the campaign? A new site might not have the same results as a seasoned site(like it seems this one is). 2. You said you spent $19K on the SEO. That site must get a ton of traffic to justify that expenditure. Has the client made their money back, or received some leads at least from this?

      Hey Andy,
The site was up for several years when i got to it so that may play some factor in its ranking quicker. However i have two other sites that i own that we got ranked in the first page first spot on hundreds of keywords in 3-4 weeks, all from backlinking. The site i spent 19k on made me over 160K when it was up. I sold it for $250K to some guys in LA. They are making about 50K on the site now. The site gets quite a bit of daily traffic from the search engines but more from some marketing software we created. Hope that answers your questions. Thanks

          Hey Kikos,
The key to backlink building is to get a wide variety of link types, lots of keyword variation in the anchor text and making sure you have more links than your competition. The key initially is to build a broad base of links over a broad base of keywords. then focus on the keywords in your top ten. Build lots of forum posts and blog posts in sites that get crawled alot. This will get your links indexed quicker.

Backlinkteam is probably one of the best SEO companies to work with and buy links from. They have a guaranteed rankings program you should ask them about. You give them the keyword you want to rank on and they tell you how much it will cost. If you do it they will guarantee that you will rank on that keyword on the first page in the top 3-4 spots and they funny thing is, they can actually do it. They got the client i told you about ranked in two weeks. Google interior design ponte vedra and you will see my client is ranked 1st on Google place pages and 1st on the natural search... They are Doti... That should be all the proof you need. They use only manual backlinks and figure out how many links your competition has then tells you how many links it will take to get your site ranked. Doesnt get much easier. I also used them on a few other websites with similar results. Hope that helps.

I think you guys have been spammed wayyyy too much. "I dont own Backlinkteam.com... I know it probably looks like self promotion but i dont own the company or even work for it. I talk about ODesk just much as much as i do about backlinkteam and obviously i dont own ODesk. I respect what both companies do and the services they provide but nothing more. Thanks
