How to get quality backlinks to a web-site about travel?

Hi all,

Everytime I read about links somebody says: it's so important to get quality links. Thank you - I clearly understand this part very very well!!

The true question is: How do we get quality links?

    Quality backlinks means the backlinks that you get from the similar niche website.

    To get those quality backlinks you can go to this search engine "commenthunt dot com" and type your keyword/niche and it will generate do follow pages related to your niche.Go to those pages and make comment and this is how you can get those quality backlinks.

    Quality links means by two way and they are:

    1.PR Links
    2. Same Theme based Websites Links

    If you got links from good PR sites and same theme based sites then it means you got quality backlinks for your sites.
    Because your backlinks are your referrer to search engines and search engine easily stack your website in relevant theme and it is easy for search engine to get your relevancy.

    Email other webmasters and ask for a link to your site.
    Google "your niche" + links & submit your site to those pages.
    Use socialmonkee.com
    Find blogs in your niche and write useful comments on the post.
    Write guest posts for blogs.
    Start your own blog. Post these articles in directories or create fresh ones for article marketing.
    Turn your content into videos & podcasts. Submit them various places to get links.

    Answer relevant questions on Yahoo answers.
    Try to sneak a link in on various relevant Wikipedia pages.

    Type in the keywords "Travel Forums" in to Google and check out the relevant forums that allow signature links in your profile. Another important part is in making sure that, the forum gets crawled and you get the credit for your link. If you press the right hand click your mouse and view page source this will enable you to look at the website coding and see whether it is followed by Google and the other main search engines.

        You should give links to the most popular and relevant site. Here relevancy means the site on which you are giving link must be related somehow to your website. Other than this the anchor text of the link must look natural and contain specific key words.

    Quality = relevant link back. How you think of how Google make judge on quality link? the answers are click through rate and bounce rate of the referral links.

    High PR and low PR doesn't matter. Today a low PR site, a year later it could grow up and become high PR site. relevant is key point.

    Quality backlinks are not just from related sites "only". You can still get good backlinks from irrelevant sites.

    As others suggest, you can check your competitor's backlinks and get them. Very practical yet, very effective.

    I find most generic recommendations (e.g. guest blog posts, blog commenting, etc.) to be too time consuming and, as a result, not economical for my time.

    These days, I just pay for this service Linkpushing. At the bare minimum, you just specify your URL and target keyword(s). It will then find a relevant article and spin it, then create a 3-tiered backlink structure across a number of web properties (e.g. articles, private blogs, normal blogs, microblogs, etc.). However, to get the most 'quality,' I do private my own article to ensure its unique and the most relevant.

    We currently start with article marketing. I think for most travel businesses it is hard to find the right niche websites for quality back links in that industry, since they offer a extremely specific products.

    I like they idea of sharing images. Haven't thought about that before and it seems very simple.

      Use google operators to search for blogs and sites that allow comments. By adding your keyword to the operator you can find relevant sites.
      Here are some operators:
      EDU blogs:
      YOUR KEYWORD site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"you must be logged in"

      GOV blogs:
      YOUR KEYWORD site:.gov inurl:blog "post a comment" -"you must be logged in"

      Commentluv blogs:
      YOUR KEYWORD "This blog uses premium CommentLuv" -"The version of CommentLuv on this site is no longer supported."

      Dofollow blogs:
      YOUR KEYWORD "Notify me of follow-up comments?" "Submit the word you see below:"

      Keywordluv blogs:
      YOUR KEYWORD "Enter YourName@YourKeywords"

      If you type these in google you'll get a bunch of results. For extra value, install the seoquake plugin (chrome,firefox) and after you have searched for one of the above operators, sort the results by pagerank (from high to low).

      Now you have a list of relevant high pr blogs that allow comments.

      Note: some sites do not auto accept comments, so make sure they are relevant and add something to the topic of the blogpost.

    In addition to backlinks, try with YouTube videos as it works fantastic for the niche
    (your videos can rank very high on Google - in addition to the traffic that you can
    get from YouTube itself).

    Quick Strategy:

    1. List 10, 20 or 50 attractions that a city may have.
    Tip: You can use Wikitravel.org for ideas (most popular places).

    2. Create 1 video per attraction (using related images) and make sure to add
    a call to action text Like "Find Cheap Hotels in XXXX at www." (you know better)

    3. Upload to YTB adding the attraction + city in the title. Something similar in the description.

    Comments:

    Although i'm the owner a bulk video creator, you can perfectly do this with a free tool like animoto.com. In case you own or use MVG at anytime, you speed up the process by combining these features:

    - Image Downloader (Keyword Based)
    - Dynamic Keyword Insertion (Automatically pass the name of each attraction to each video to make it look relevant - "Looking for hotels in #KEYWORD#")
    - Dynamic Image Insertion (For each attraction, the software will automatically load images related to that attraction).

    Make your comments in sites like makemytrip.com with your site's URL in comments. Note the comment should be useful for readers. Integrate a blog or forum in your site in which people can share reviews about your service, a tourist/travel place and you can use those content to be linked back to your site with keywords.

    You can build links for your website through having it listed on relevant directories, covering travel issues and also on blogs but link building is only one part of promoting your website and its services. Have you thought about using paid advertisements? Traffic is actually the main issue to address not merely adding to the number of links. PPC and putting your ads on websites and directories which get accessed by folks looking for information on travel issues seems to be a better solution in the long term.
