Almost no one would ever recommend using FREE Autoresponders and neither I would recommend it.

Aweber is #1 right now, I think. They've got a $1 30 days Trial. So, why wouldn't she give it a try?

Anyways, as for a free autoresponder, I've heard off ListWire. You'll be bombed with email offers and ads everywhere, so think a bit. Not only ListWire, but you'll have that with any other FREE autoresponder.

    Good luck!

It's never been easier. Send me a Private Message for details.

This always makes me laugh... email marketers complaining about other people sending them offers via email.

We offer a very valuable service at no cost what-so-ever. A service that has a real world value of, at a very minimum, $20.00 per month... and in exchange we send an email or two a day to our members.

Is that really that bad? Really?

On the other hand, maybe you'd like to consider this...

These emails help us keep a free service online, and they're being written by me personally... a guy who is one of the top producing affiliates in the IM space, and who has been for about 7 years now.

Maybe, just maybe you could learn a little about email copy from those messages? Did you consider that?

Personally, I sign up to just about every list I can, and I look through offers almost daily... I like to see what gets me to open, and what gets me to click. I also watch infomercials by choice, and go through hour long sales videos when I know they're converting...

Why? Because I'm learning. That's why...

Anyway, I just find it funny that email marketers complain about getting marketed to via email.

If the emails bother you that much, it'd take what... all of 2 seconds per day to delete them? So, 2 seconds per day, and we give you an awesome free service in exchange.

I don't know... but if you'd ask me, that's a pretty fair deal.

      List Wire

P.S. Aweber isn't even close to #1 in terms of number of clients, volume of email sent, or name recognition outside of our little IM world...

I love Tom, know the guy, and can't say a bad word about his service... but to think they're the #1 email marketing service online shows that you're living in a bubble.

There's one service I know of that has over 5 times the client base of Aweber, and a 2nd with close to 4 times as many... both are VC funded, and advertise nationally on TV, Radio, and in huge business publications.

Like I said, I have nothing against Aweber at all... but, don't just make stuff up, and pass it off as fact. That's not going to help anyone.

P.P.S. As of now, and since we've been open, there hasn't been a single banner advertising anything in our members area... not a single one. I'm not sure where this impression of "Ads everywhere" is coming from, but it's certainly not us...

Maybe you're confusing us with the now defunct freeautobot.com

There are many free autoresponders. If she is running Wordpress, there is:

WordPress › WP Autoresponder And Newsletter Plugin « WordPress Plugins

Additionally, there is PHPList that you can install directly on your server.

Managing your own list software or scripts is not for the faint of heart.

There may be delivery issues. Just FYI.

I'd just tell her to go with Aweber's 1 dollar trial. Aweber proven and if for whatever reason she doesn't like it, she can end her trial

I'm with Aweber and I couldn't recommend them high enough

The original post asked for a free autoresponder, and although Aweber offers a trial... a trial is just that, it's a trial. That means that after your first 30 days, you'll be paying full price, and by definition, anything with a monetary cost isn't free.
