Hey everyone, I am wondering how the linking changes between UK and US. I assume the principles are the same, but in order to link for UK I also assume I need to get UK links?

I have a list of UK directories, but wondering about social sites, do those need to be UK as well.

And is there a product that I allows me to find or purchase high PR for UK links?

I have my first UK client and needing someone to point me in the right direction.

last question, they do not have a co.uk domain...how much does that hurt them,

links from other countries will also help but links from uk are best in your case.

sign up for google.com/webmasters/ and set the target country to uk.

For targeting a uk market a .co.uk domain hosted on a uk ip would help. Set uk as your target on the google web tools. Getting links from the uk is good but international links are also very good so i wouldnt worry too much

The uk IP is a big part of this so make sure it's on a true UK IP.
Also the co.uk really does help out a lot...

Some of the UK Hosting Providers still have oversea's datacenters
so double check 1st. As for the links I'd try and stick with UK
      links but overseas won't harm
