I am trying to rank up for my brothers Runescape blog he has here> Free RS Accounts I have placed the onpage SEO as best as I can on there. The main keyword is "Free RS Accounts"

I was just looking on the Market Samurai and decided to check out the competition on "Free RS Accounts" and it does not look to bad so checked out the main No 1 competition for it.

I found it here> Runescape Accounts Free - Free 2011 RS Accounts that Work I noticed that it does not have any page rank nor Alexa ranking either. So then thought well why not check out what type of back links it has, I noticed that it has some really decent aged back links such as > Hidden Springs Charter School which is PR 3 and also > 2008 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing - ICIP 2008 PR 6

Somehow the owner has managed to get these blogs which are high authority and aged to place his URL in the content> Runescape Accounts Free - Free 2011 RS Accounts that Work I am just wondering how they could of done this.

I reckon they have bought them. That link on the ICIP page is in a massive amount of unrelated paragraphs with KW links. It looks like it has been designed and made soley for the purpose of linking and people don't normally do that unless they intend to make money from the links.

So has he paid who ever owns that blog which is aged and high authority to place his URL on there. How can I compete with that type of thing would you suggest.

I would think he has paid. The way to compete in the link respect is "simply" to take the time and do the reasearch and find some relavent high PR sources to gain links to your site and just get more than the competition (but at a "natural" sustainable rate).

You could try engaging with good blog owners and offreing to guest post. Or you could find a relavent site that is not in direct vompetition with your own and ask for a link.

Otherways are to buy an aged domain which has allready got PR and build it up with links to your site. This is probably how the ICIP site was made.

Or you could just buy them, if it has worked for them it can work for you.

Unfortunaley there is no real quick fix that will stand the test of time and especially not with out breaking the "rules" and risking penalty.
