What's the Best Google Friendly Squeeze Page? (got banned after a year of use... PLEASE HELP!)

My squeeze page just got banned from google adwords due to site policy violations. But as you may know, google is extremely vague with what's wrong with your site and what you need to adjust to get it approved.

So, I'm looking for someone who's had experience with something like this to tell me what the problem may be and what I should do to fix it.

This was my squeeze page for over a year with absolutely no issues and now it's banned.

How to Get Over an Ex Girlfriend, How to Get Over Your Ex Girlfriend, Getting Over Your Ex Girlfriend, Getting Over an Ex Girlfriend

My friend said it's because google hates squeeze pages and the whole ebook model business so I dropped that and created an optin around a video, rather than a free chapter from my ebook.

I also added links to some of the most popular posts from my blog, which is on the same domain name and ranks top 5 for all my main keywords in google organically.

New Squeeze Page:

How to Get Over Your Ex | How to Get Over a Relationship | Get Over Her | Get Over a Break Up | How to Get Over an Ex-Girlfriend, Getting Over a Break Up

For whatever reason, it's still not approved. I've read the user policy over and over again and I have no idea what's wrong with it. Perhaps its due to unrealistic claims? I don't see how anything I wrote is unrealistic or misleading though. It's incomparable to the sleeziness of most squeeze pages telling stories about making thousands of dollars online or losing lots of weight in a short amount of time.

Does anyone know what I should do to get it approved?

I was planning to take the opt-in bullets and turn them into text instead of a jpeg file so that it has more text and relevant content but I doubt that's the reason it's not being approved.

I have a $100 adwords vouches that expires Aug 15 that I want to use and I also want to start doing media advertising on youtube and the content network but I can't do that until my squeeze page is reapproved.

EDIT: just saw a post on here linking to Squeeze Boss

has anyone used this? they talk about having google friendly squeeze pages that you can rank. do you think the same would apply for approval on PPC networks or are those generally human reviewed?

You know you can swap the page after your add got approved =)

So get any page of your competitors create something similar, get your add approved then swap the page for one that got banned.

Squeeze pages can't be advertised via google adwords. They can RANK on google's rankings (for now) but they can't be advertised in adwords. You'll have to find another method or a different search engine. If you keep doing it they'll just ban your account for life (serious).

Actually, to be quite honest, you might have been banned already. They'll ban you without notice. You'll only find out they've banned by trying to contact them directly. That's what happened to me. In my early days I had some ads that stayed pending for a whole week so I emailed them and was informed I got banned for running ads that had low quality score and can no longer advertise with them again.

    Hope that helps.

The truth of the matter is that there is NO way out. You cannot even use someone else's page and then change it, because Google monitors everything very closely and if they catch you doing something like this, you will get barred. The infringement is that you are not allowed to advertise a bridge page - e.g. if you advertise a page that only sells one product (e.g. a squeeze page is the only item on the page and there is nowhere else to go) this is a "bridge" infringement.
The only way around this is to have a very general page with lots of stuff advertised on it and have links to a squeeze page which is NOT on the main home page you are advertising. The problem is that not everyone is going to go and click the link to the squeeze.
The best way of getting traffic to your page is to pay someone reputable 50c/click to drive traffic to your page. It is not something I do people BUT I do buy traffic to my list from several reputable sources.

Here is the link to Google Adwords re: Bridge pages
          Bridge page - AdWords Help
          Hope this clarifies the situation.
About half-way down the page the give examples "acceptable" and "non-acceptable" sites - the purpose is to STOP people driving business to only ONE provider. So you can't only advertise things that lead to Clickbank and expect to use PPC with Adwords.
There is a useful tab at the top of the page (link above) that give you an "AdWords Checklist" for setting up a successful Adwords Campaign. Adwords is a minefield these days - that's why I gave up my paid Adwords Professional status about a year ago.
          Hope that helps!

my experience will be very negative

I had 2 accounts closed by Google because of promoting something with thin page (similar to your page)

now I am not able to do any work with Google Adwords as I opened an account under my wife's name and they also closed it because of the same IP address (now it is too late as they do not give you a chance to correct your mistake)

anyway, Google wants you to have a website (can be mini website) with Privacy, Contacts, About us, Terms and conditions pages

also information pages (can be 2 and more pages)
you can add few stuff from your eBook

then you can leave your autoresponder and they will accept it

but they don't want to see only the autoresponder

If you go through the page you will notice it's actually a pretty nicely designed squeeze page incorporated into a blog.

I would love to get my hands on one of those templates!

Yeah love that! I'm going to try and code it myself in my WP site. Looks great and not too squeezy.

Also - their were ftc changes a while back that you have to follow guidelines around claims. Search ftc to get those updates or see some recent imers launches that have integrated the correct verbiage.

Interesting read... And here I thought I was the only one who noticed how two website owners (and partners) dominate Google Adwords in the dating & relationship space. It's not science on why Christian Carter gets away with breaking the rules. Do the research. As sad as it is, your $100 voucher will never stand a chance against the millions of dollars spent in advertising from Hot Topic Media. If anything, team up, take notes, and keep trying.

I have to say that I've always kind of suspected what you are saying. Basically bigger bucks being thrown at google while still breaking the rules.

I've had the exact same issue as OP. My landing page survived mere months though but was probably started a lot more recently also.

It is true that christian's site does have more info on the page, but isn't the main objective of this page still to get email addresses (which google does not like in it's policies)?

Rules are rules but I still think it's about the money here.

Anyway, you could try having a page that gives more info to visitors about your topic and see lwhat happens. Good luck OP but I switched to bing ;-)

    hi kevin,

your squeeze page is not the same as christian is. His website have more info than your squeeze page. I don't know how you are considering that your page looks similar as christians, because i think it's not. Make a minisite with your squeeze page (not as homepage) and try it again i would say. I hope this helps
