Hi!

I have created a list of 350 forums which have a good pagerank (4 or more).

Should I point the profiles created directly to the money site or not?

Yes you can point that to your main site. But I think profile backlinks are nofollow. Though you still try it.

Nofollow links are still good links.

Why is everyone afraid of getting nofollow backlinks? I don't even look at whether a link is nofollow or dofollow.

That only matters to pass pagerank to your URL. The backlink still counts as a backlink and Google still finds it and crawls it, it just doesn't pass PR to your page.

A normal link profile will have a lot of no-follows and do-follows mixed together.

TO answer your question, point those links at whatever you want. Money site, sure, but I usually use masses of profile links to link to my first tier of high quality backlinks from private blog networks and web 2.0s.

Generally, profile pages on forums have pagerank 0, or even some don't have PR at all...

I have a list of forums which have the homepage pr >= 4.

      These links are dofollow!

Do you think it's better to point these profile links to web 2.0 sites and not directly to the money site?

Just make sure your profile links get indexed. I had someone do 25 profile backlinks for me - but never got indexed. So I had to ping them - and they were pretty much indexed the next day.

I'd probably use them to hopefully give a little boost to links that are pointing to your sites.

Be sure that profile link are not belong to same IP cluster, it is more effective if it is spread out to a different IP addresses.

Post panda, its my experience that profile links are poison. I will admit that I didn't test this in a super scientific way, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Here's is what happened to me: Signed up for a linkbuilding service and drove 10,000 profile links to my site over 4 days. The site had been online for 6 months at this point.

Did you hear that sound? SLAP!!!

Instantly dropped from page 1 to page one zillion. Ouch.

Thankfully, after the best Google dance I've ever seen, I'm back to position #3. How? Article marketing ONLY.

Does this qualify as an absolute that profile links are bad? Hell no! Its just my experience post-panda.

That is very common when building links no matter what type of backlinks you create. It isn't a Google slap or any kind of penalty. What you experienced was the Google dance and your site would have come back even without article marketing. The Google dance usually happens after creating backlinks as the search engines are indexing your links, many people think this is a penalty but it is far from the truth.

If your list have got some good PR forums, you must create profiles on those sites. Profile links of good PR sites also have good SEO value. Many profile links can be dofollow also.

You need to build links to not only your homepage, but also internal pages as well!

Most people over look this and simply rinse and repeat their links with the same URLs and keywords. Be sure to diversify when linking to your site.

This will help the flow of PageRank and appear more "natural", also it'll keep the bots happy as they'll be able to access your content from different spots which can mean optimal indexing of your site.

How to use high quality profile backlinks
    Doesn't exist.

I'm sure those PR4s that you see are on the Index page, not the profile page.

You'll be hard pressed to find a link that is going to hurt your site in the SERPs. Point it at your main site and start ranking!

Unfortunately this is very true, otherwise we would all be building backlinks on our competitor's sites thus giving us the competitive advantage.

You would benefit by pointing those links directly to your site. As long as you've got a good link velocity going on, you should be solid.

Yes I am agree with ExploringInfinity" don't afraid of nofollow, I think most of people think that your links would not be recognized if it have nofollow But I think it does not make that much difference many of backllinks which are nofollow are indexed and found on google.

What is Quality Profile Links? I think I might have the answer. I'm running an indexing and crawling service, some profile links index much better than the other, and they boost your ranking,

Here's what is working for me:

    1. Profile link with PR1+
    2. Profile link with unique spin content
    3. Anchor link in the unique spin content, not before and not after
    4. Avoid direct linking, commonly used by phpbb profile link (Which is almost useless, even with High PR!)

If your profile links meet all these condition, you'll notice a faster and higher index rate. However, profile link alone can't rank for higher competition keywords, you have to mix different link types and spread your backlink campaign to home page and inner page, all backlinks to one page will not rank the site well...
