Website Redesign - 23 crawl errors from old pages

I did a redesign for a website, which included eliminating some pages and adding new ones, as well as, content. Everything works great, client is happy. However, in Webmaster Tools, even with a new sitemap submitted, it still comes back with 23 crawl errors for pages that are no longer on the site.

Do I just wait for Google to re-crawl the website and those dead links will disappear, or can I use the request a URL removal feature ? Will it hurt my SEO efforts while I wait for the re-crawl? Thanks.

I would put a 301 redirect in your .htaccess file on the old pages. This way, if they had backlinks to them, you would still be able to capitalize on those backlinks.
    301 is your friend!

Someone with "Search Engine Optimization and Consulting" and "Local Search Specialists" should know the answer to that question.

Somebody who calls themselves a "blogger for success" shouldn't have web copy like " Do you know how to blog but not the technical skills to install, configure and a custom blog?"

We all have questions. Its part of learning. Try to be constructive or keep your opinions to yourself. Thanks.
