Page 1 google, no traffic

I had a few keywords that hit pg 1 google, I've checked using adwords and there are 5,400 Us searches and 12,100 montly searches by that keyword. however i do not see any traffic with that keyword at all.

any idea?

      broad keyword. it has 3600 monthly according to MNF.

    Just check the exact traffic of same keyword

    Try clearing your cache, using google chrome incognito, rank checker, or scroogle.org to check your rankings. Might just be that you're actually not on first page.

    I can almost guarantee that you've been looking at the broad match results in Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

    You will most likely get a shock when you check the exact match (the only figure that matters) figures.

      Ok, i made a lot of mistakes during my side. Say if a keywords has exact 2000 searches monthly. what kind of traffic i'm looking at no 9 position ?

      Can you please explain what effect the broad and exact options have on keywords' search volume?
