Checking if large quantities of sites have been indexed

I know that Scrapebox can check whether a large quantity of sites is indexed, but I am wondering whether there is a free tool that will do the same thing, since I'm only looking for that feature and don't want to purchase Scrapebox just for that?

Well There are a lot of free tools if you google, but I hardly trust them

Try to find a demo Scrapebox version to see how it works. If you are pleased with the results buy the product.

Hm, I was a bit hesitant to purchase Scrapebox because I already have SEO Elite 4 so it seemed silly to have another product that might have a lot of overlap. Does it have any additional features (besides the indexed thing) that SEO Elite doesn't have?

When you say you are looking to see if sites are indexed, which search engine aare you reffering to?

I'm not sure if this is the same as:
if i am not wrong you can do it through google search
      allinurl:"yourwebsite url"
but if I want to check if a page is indexed by google I simply use:

site:example.com (this then tells you all the links in that domain that Google has indexed if you are looking in a specific directory in that domain just change it to: site: example.com/example/)

Allinurl looks up any url with a certain phrase in it so if you typed in allinurl:example.com then any site even if it isn't from the domain you are checking (as long as it has example.com in it will come up - site: removes this and only checks that domain)
