Anybody had this happen with adsense?

When I check my google adsense during the day, I have just started to notice this. For example, my clicks say 4 with $2.54. When I click on the "top channels" , it give me the site that got the clicks, but it only says 2 with $.37.
I tried to find this out in their help forum and someone suggested possily someone is using my pub id and the clicks are from elsewhere and suggest I use the "allowed site feature". Which I turned that feature on yesterday, so I don't think that's what's happening.
Then they stated that if a cached page or translated page is getting clicked on it won't show up in the url channel and that's why I don't see it.
Then someone said it could be an overlap with url channel and custom channel but I don't have custom channels set up.
Anyway, I'm just confused and thought maybe someone on the forum has had this happen and has a different explanation?

    It happens to me all the time.

    Two things that they are coming from, as far as my account.

    One, I have a zillion old pages that I have left intact after revamping
    various dot coms. I was smart enough to leave these orphan pages
    alone, as I know they appear in SERPs. It would be possible, but
    impractical for me to track them down and change the ads. These pages
    have ads that I created before even knowing what channels were.

    Second, I have a handful of blogspot blogs. Since I put adsense on
    them via the internal tool provided by google, no channel is made.
    No channel, no data. When I try my dashboard, I keep getting a
    no data available message. For some reason, I get absolutely nothing
    about impressions and clicks. I have to assume that some of my
    unaccounted for clicks are coming from these blogs.

    My unaccounted clicks are between 25-50% on a daily basis.

    Now if I did not have old pages with old code, or blogspot blogs,
    I would probably think that I created ads without designating a channel.

    As your account ages, and you get more dot coms, the testing you do
    increases. The amount of ad blocks you create becomes enormous.
    I have a brazilian number of inactive units.

    Google is smart enough to not let us delete them, as we may forget
    where we may have them placed. Some forgotten pages may not
    get any visitors for a while. But, it's sitting there just in case.

    As far as I know, if someone just stuck your code in an adsense block,
    it probably would not register as anything. You are required to create
    ad blocks. I suppose it would be possible using the old fashioned code,
    but seems to me very unlikely.

      Hi Paul,
      It makes sense to me that you would have clicks that you can't track back because you have so many old sites without channels. However, I only have 10 micro niche sites and I did set up a channel for each. I did notice one of my channels never shows any impressions, or when I go to check the channels it doesn't show up in the list of my url channels. I'm thinking now that maybe that it the one that is getting clicks because it is in position #9. I guess I will have to go back to the adsense help forum to find out why this channel is not showing up in my daily adsense reports. I'm new at all of this so it can be overwelming, but I guess I'll get to the bottom of it.
