As they said before, you should check out some information on niche websites.

There's a lot of really good information out there (some free and some paid).

However, my favorite is Patt Flynn's niche site duel. It breaks everything down from keyword selection, to blog selection, to seo. And it's awesome because it's a successful case study and the documentation is 100% free.

if you want money from adsense you must have QUALITY TRAFFIC
If you want quality traffic you must have a quality website.
Quality website = Unique Content + Professional Design + SEO
If you have a good website, you must try to bring your website to page 1 on google .
The traffic comes from page 1 .
You will not have traffic if you're on Page 20 or something.

The Correct Formula : TRAFFIC = MONEY

It sure sounds that you already have the niche site process down based on your experience with Amazon. Generating sites to monetize with Adsense income is not really that different than making other sites in my opinion.

You can make money with adsense fairly easily, all you need is traffic and people looking to buy something.. I have had the best luck with niches that target a certain product for example: Patio Slabs. People who are searching for patio slabs often want to buy, which will lead them to click your adsense adds.

You should check out spencers blog, he has some good information about microniches and adsense.

a lot of people building a lot of micro niche sites (20-50) in order to achieve the goal of $500/day.

An option is to outsource all the process of building and promoting (SEO) the sites if you have the budget. You can find a lot of warriors on hire section that build micro niche sites very cheap as $30 per site.

If you don't have the budget, you will find a lot of resources for free on this forum (Adsense/PPC/SEO Discussion Forum). It's better to start with one site and learn keyword research and SEO......when you'll learn how to drive traffic you can scale up your sites !

I agree with sonic74. most people especially now a days make multiple sites and put their adsense code on them. Find your niche build on it, then find another niche. One thing is learned is that you cannot stick with one too long if it doesnt work, got to move on.

As others said, you need: website or blog, quality - unique content and keep it updated, keyword research and SEO. You will see revenue but it takes time to rank well especially for keywords with high search volume.

to be honest, for making $500 per month at adsense is bit hard, but not impossible

You need to focused on your website and keep your website ranking higher in SERP with your keywords, good luck with adsense

If other attempts have not worked out as well, we found that utilizing wordpress on your domain with a few plugins worked well. Just find the clickbump program (found on google) and worth every penny; also doing some mild research on twitter based upon your niche will drive traffic to your site.

There are many ways to get the traffic, which is basically what you will always need. Keep building sites weekly, and get prepared for the holiday season soon approaching. $$$

I would advise to build an authority site as opposed to micro sites.

Why? Because micro sites usually rise to the top quickly but they disappear out of sight just as quickly, so you need to keep building new ones to replace those that fall by the wayside.

With an authority site, it might take a bit longer to reach the top but once there, as long as you keep adding quality content and building backlinks, it stays on top for a long time and your AdSense earnings just keep increasing.

You need to get good quality traffic and place your ads carefully on your blog. You can try blog commenting and guest posting to get traffic. I recommend placing an ad under your posts for good placement.
