Do you think facebook and twitter links help rankings?

Hey guys,

Do you think when people link to our websites from twitter and facebook (not anchor text but url) it helps with SEO and rankings in Google?

I know Google takes into consideration social media these days, so what are your thoughts?

    backlinks from facebook fanpage is now hell for Google since after their panda update and it's really awesome but I don't know about that of twitter. I recommend you get as many links as you can get from facebook fanpages, I set up about 5 - 10 for each of my new sites, you should try it cos the results are really good.
