    Hey man,

I would love to help but, i just don't know what 1/10 means...

Are you referring to pagerank? position in google (which would be a good thing)?

      Ohh alright..

Well if it does have to do with pagerank...

My first comment would be, don't even think about pagerank. Back a few years ago pagerank was a pretty big factor in page rankings (funny concept right...) However, now a day's it doesn't mean nearly as much.

Just focusing on properly backlinking your site, and update your site with fresh content.

You need to build backlinks in order to appear higher in the Google search engine, along with on page optimisation. You should do a Google search for SEO ebooks and read some, they're very insightful.

  • Yes, if you are talking about page rank, I wouldn't worry so much about that right now, that will come naturally as your search engine position moves up, traffic increases, etc...just be patient with that.

Hopefully, your main keyword is in the domain, that will help. Also, you'll want to make sure you have your main keyword(s) in the title tag, description, keyword, and header.

Lots of unique content, properly SEO'd, a specific keyword for each post, with 2-3% keyword density, keyword underlined, bold, and linked to another post within site and linked to an authority site as well - both links using kw anchor text. SEO your images as well by naming them the keyword you're going for as well as using the KW for the alt text.

You can bookmark your posts using Onlywire, make sure you add a good ping list to a ping optimizer plugin such as cbnet ping optimizer. You can use Social Monkee for bookmarking as well, they have a free version.

Sitemap is important as someone else stated, as well as submitting your site and sitemap to google webmaster tools, google analytics, and adding a feedburner plugin as well.

There is a lot to SEO, perhaps on page SEO is the most important to get right first and then the all important backlinks.....pm if you need further more specific help.

    All the best,
    Amanda

Yeah if you are talking about Google Page Rank, this is a quality score that Google gives your site, sort of like a rating. But it is different to your Google rankings.

Google ranking is where your pages appear in the search results, it is not directly related to Google Page Rank.

So get a higher ranking in the search results you will need to ensure you have good quality unique content that is based around the keywords that you would like to be ranked for.

Once that is done, you need to start doing some backlinking with your keyword as your anchor text.

If you are not sure about backlinking or anchor text, please do some research on Google and this forum.

    Cheers,
    Dave

hi...forget the pagerank thing...concentrate instead on your site structure and make sure you get the sitemap created well. you can use a1 sitemap generator to create an xml sitemap then you can submit that in your google webmaster tools...then make sure you do a keyword research and find the keywords that will help you and get on the field and do some backlinks (never stop, but don't spam)...and you'll be good. and also mind you....it won't take 2 or 3 weeks for your page to rank well some good reputation...it takes some more time and it's a gradual and consistent process.

    all the best.

See, sometimes we believe that we deserve a better PR that what is assigned to the website.
But Google knows better, just put in your efforts to get more ‘quality backlinks’ and you will get a boost in your PR.

In my opinion PR is not an important metric for a website. It cannot influence your conversion, your traffic and your ROI. So, its better to focus on these metrics than on PR.
