Hey everyone,

I was ecstatic when I woke up this morning and saw my webpage was ranked #1 for my keyword--in Firefox. In chrome, it was ranked #5. The same applies when I run through proxies. Firefox is #1, Chrome is #5.

Thoughts?

I would imagine it is probably due to personalised search results being different due to specific unique activity you have had on each browser:

I can be happen because of various reasons i.e. toolbars, personalized results, customized results, hitting different data centers etc.

I shortened the google search URL and put it up in browsershots.

My 'true rank' is somewhere around a 4 or 5. Didn't see my site ranked #1, so personal preferences may be affecting the rank.

I would imagine it also depends on your location and the nearest datacenter.

Pick up "CCleaner" and do a quick clean up before manually checking your rankings in different browsers. It will completely wipe your history, cache, etc, for all of your browsers.
