Well if you've ever looked into the Websites For Sale section of the forum, you'll see several websites being sold are Wordpress, so that must mean they rank fine in Google.

Implementing a CMS can be a boon to SEO efforts, but it can be a disaster because many CMS systems were not designed with search engine marketing in mind. Some specific problems that content generated by this kind of CMS has in being indexed by search engines include:

    Dynamic URLs
    Bad meta tags
    Keyword poor URLs
    Search engine unfriendly design

At least WordPress and Joomla sites can get ranked just fine. It really depends on how much you go into optimizing them (plugins etc.), and what kind of site you are going to make. I took WordPress and Joomla as examples, because WordPress represent more of a blog type of website, while Joomla is like what you would make for a company website.

If you're just going to make a website with articles, then WordPress is definitely the best choice (in my opinion).

Drupal's clean URLs give it a good reputation when it comes to SEO , but there's a lot more you can do under the hood to improve Drupal's SEO.

        I agree with Sohel.
Drupal has a great set of modules for site development as well as site SEO purposes.

many modules or all round SEO solution modules are available for drupal.
eg:- Nodewords, Pagetitle, Content Optimizer/analyser, readability, SEO tools, SEO friend.... the basic ones but enough for your on page optimization purpose.
